Creative Science Nosorb Non-Absorbent Cat Litter | 6 oz | Easily Collect Urine Samples from Cats

I needed to get a urine sample from my cat in order to make sure he could do the dental surgery needed. This was the same or at least similar litter the vet gave me (which I ruined the first time, thus why I had to buy some more). I was able to get a good sample for the vet thanks to this litter's nonbsorbable trait. My cat is good for the dental surgery.

My vet recommended Nosorb to collect my cat’s urine when she suspected he might be diabetic. I removed my cat’s regular litter, cleaned the pan thoroughly and dumped in the Nosorb. It isn’t a large amount of bits and it took my cat about 13 hours, but he finally decided it was that or nothing. I separated the bits from the urine, emptied the urine into the same container, put it in the refrigerator overnight and took it to the vet the next morning. Easy enough.

I bought 4 of these tiny containers and it still wasn't enough. It's not even enough to cover the bottom of a shoe box, let alone a litter box for a normal-sized cat. Fish gravel works great, is cheap and comes in a large bag. The only problem is that it needs to be rinsed and somewhat dried before using it. I was hoping this product would work, but I can't even test it without buying a bunch more.

It took a couple tries of locking my cat in a room till she used this. I only had the window of the times the vet is open and when j was off work since the sample has to be collected and brought to the vet within 2-4 hours of kitty using the box. The litter just floated on the urine and it was very easy to use the syringe/dropper took to extract it and put it in the sample container. I already had a syringe/dropper from the vet. The litter does not come with one. It worked great and I was able to avoid taking her back to the vet for them to try and use a needle to get urine from her bladder. I love this stuff

Had to use for my cats pee to take to the vet and it worked ! Def recommend if you need a urinary test done.

way too small of an amount to use even in a tiny litterbox. I also ordered the kit4kat 2lbs of sand kit with test strips and the amount of litter was just right for my small plastic travel litterbox. Cat used in in seconds with no issue. This was such a small amount i will either have to order more or return it. Thinking return would be smartest

Vet recommended these. Didn’t think this would work with my cat, but surprisingly it did! Just used it like litter in a clean litter box, and she peed in it. I strained the urine off and then took this sample to the vet for labs. I washed the beads and let them dry (a little difficult), because I’ll have to use again for ongoing collection. But they are expensive, so thought I’d go through that effort.

I had to collect urine sample from my cat so with the advice of my vet, I bought this litter. Low on quantity and will be pretty shallow even in a small litter box. It seems to be "magnet" like. Anyway, I slept with my cat overnight with the door closed and she didn't poop or pee in it. I wouldn't either. I'll keep it just in case I really have to collect urine sample, but I didn't want to lock my cat all night (I have another cat so I can't just use it as a litter box for both).
