I bought the 7 and the 12. I can't think of a reason to dislike these squares. As a carpenter that is getting up there in years, I find it increasingly hard to read the markings on the typical silver speed square. The contrast with these squares makes it much easier to read (and thus leads to fewer errors). Both of mine arrived in perfect condition. Well made and none of the errors that others have complained about. The only thing I would ever have an issue with is if the markings wear off over time, but that's not an issue yet. Time will tell, but so far, they're great.

Sehr guter Begleiter beim Handwerken! Habe Ihn gekauft, da ich nicht mehr mit diesen "weichen Stahl/Blechlinealen" der Schreinerwinkel arbeiten wollte. Ein sehr vielseitiges und stabiles Werkzeug in einer einfachen Form. Diese Größe passt gut in meinen Werkzeuggürtel. Der Kauf war für mich ein voller Erfolg! P.S. Wenn der Hersteller noch eine Libelle einarbeiten könnte/würde ohne die Form zu verändern wäre das ein Traum...

White writing on black stands out well. Better than my old silver natural aluminium colour. Metric is a bonus now.

Le speed square a été inventé et s'utilise surtout aux US / Canada / Mexique. Les variantes métriques sont du coup très rares. Si vous connaissez les avantages du speed square, celui-ci de Johnson est le meilleur actuellement. Aluminium qui ne rouille pas, chiffres et marquages contrastés et faciles à lire… J'en parle plus en détail dans une vidéo sur mon YouTube.
