BETTER FOR EYES but a little Incompatible w TWC NY
I purposely didn't buy the CLIKR-5 TWC rents with the Samsung DVR in NYC, its black black design is hard for the elderly to read from.I got my UEI from Phat. No Unlock was needed.I skipped the manual tv set up and went right for automatic, was done in three presses of the Ch+ button.Instructions are Large Print and easy to follow. The Master Power button required a trip to the urcremotesupport website. The button works fine but NOT as described on that site. I have to LONG PRESS to make it simultaneously cut off both tv and dvr. The site says it's supposed to do a cut off of each device singly with each press. Nope. Not on mine. What I wish was programmable is its On Demand button. This remote has that programmed as channel 1. Here that's NY1 News. Demand is channel 1000.Help- does nothingMusic- does nothingThat Guide Day toggle button is inconveniently located as is the Exit.Volume is press press press, no long press for fast changes.Hence the drop of a star.Overall I'm pleased though.

This item works well except it will not turn off ...
This item works well except it will not turn off my Samsung TV and Cable one receiver at the same time, I have to press each device button separately.

Works with Suddenlnk
We’d been having issues with our remote for a couple of years, but recently some of the buttons quit working completely. It’s really a hassle to talk to an actual person with the cable company, so I searched for a new remote online. I was happy to find his one for $10 because I was concerned that it might not work. It arrived quickly and worked perfectly once I followed these instructions another reviewer posted. To unlock:1. Press CBL key2. Press and hold SETUP unit CBL blinks twice3. Type 9824. Watch for 4 blinks. If it blinks four times, now it's unlocked and you can follow the instruction on the back of the remote to program your cable box. If it doesn't blink 4 times, repeat until it does, as you won't be able to program your cable box until you unlock the remote. Our original remote was 1056B01. The new one is identical, but item number 1056B03

Go to cable provider!
What else is new, works on the cable box but doesn't work on sound system or TV. It is exactly what came from cable company tried the codes but didn't work on my Samsung. Should have gotten off my but, went to cable company , waited in line with the unemployed and got the right remote. Nope, with Prime I was lured into the lazy man fix and didn't quite work out. Now my wife wins, said she told me to go to the cable company and stop being lazy. Man I love her!

Works Perfectly For Suddenlink Cable
Some of the buttons on my Suddenlink cable remote stopped working. I didn’t want to drive across town and stand in line at the Suddenlink office to trade my partially working remote for one that might not work at all. I ordered this one because it looks exactly like my Suddenlink remote except that it doesn’t have the Suddenlink logo at the bottom. It was delivered by USPS in 3 days. I put in 2 AA batteries, hit the CBL button, then hit GUIDE and it came right up on the screen. It works perfectly with my Suddenlink cable box. I used the provided TV codes and programmed my Samsung TV to it with the first code I entered. If you have Suddenlink Cable and your remote device looks like the one in the picture, it WILL work for your cable box right out of the package and programming your TV is easy.

Super replacement remote, easy to unlock and easy to program!
My cable remote was dying and taking a trip to the cable company wasn't on the agenda anytime soon! I decided to search Amazon for the remote and lo and behold, I found it. I noted in the other reviews that you'd need to unlock the remote before you could program it to your cable box. All other devices can be programmed with the instructions on the back of the remote. It works perfectly with all my electronics! Couldn't be happier with the new remote and the price is great, as well!To unlock:1.

Just what I was looking for!
I went to exchange my old and button-worn ATLAS OCAP remote for a new one at my local Time Warner "retail store." But while there I was told they're no longer carrying the ATLAS OCAP remote and are now providing the Philips RC122 in its place. I'm sure the Philips is a fine remote, but critical buttons -- like "Menu" and "Exit" -- are in different places on the remote. Since I can work the ATLAS OCAP remote by feel without thinking, I don't want to have to relearn a new remote if I can avoid it. Leave it to Amazon to help me source a new ATLAS OCAP remote!Without having to change any codes, out of the box, CABLE mode controlled my Time Warner Motorola dual-tuner HD DVR just fine. That's why it's nice that this is a Time Warner ATLAS OCAP remote because it appears, at least for my TW box, that the codes are preset for TW cable boxes.

This item was listed as new and what I received ...
This item was listed as new and what I received was well used. The plastic has signs of user ware along with scratches on nicks. There is dirt in the cracks and crevices it is definitely not new and I expected to receive a new remote. In the photo you will see how the number 7 and the word "For" has been worn away. I'm sure that half of the remotes life has been used up.
