Decent cable that when compared to a 15 dollar similar cable, actually comes out on top
I bought this along with a 15 dollar similar cable from a high quality brand and found that I actually prefer this cable and will likely put the more expensive one in the drawer. The reason I prefer this cable is because the two cables coming off the main plug of this one are longer and the braided wires will tangle less and be more durable than cables with a thin rubber coating. ***If you're concerned at all about compatibility please read below*** I want to make a comment on compatibility with these cables, because I bought one and swore the mic side was bad because I plugged it into my computer and it was not receiving the mic signals, but it was due to a mistake on my part and the way I was trying to use it. As with all the other cables like this they advertise being compatible with PC, Xbox, and Playstation. It's important to realize that this cable is compatible with those devices because they are designed to receive the mic and send the audio to the headphones in the same 3.5mm plug. The issue of compatibility has less to do with what is labeled as compatible and more to do with how to device is intended to be used. You will see commenters say it wasn't compatible with their device. Well that's not entirely true. It's likely they were using the cable incorrectly because this cable is definitely compatible with any device designed to receive and send audio data from the same 3.5mm plug. This cable is compatible with the Xbox One headset adapter on the controller and I'm sure would be compatible with the playstation equivalent(I only had the xbox controller to test). most laptops or desktops with one headphone jack will be compatible as well. A good rule to use would be if there's one 3.5mm jack and you would want to send it microphone data and receive sound at the same time it will probably be compatible. A place where the device isn't compatible would be my desktop's sound card, which has a specific mic input and a specific output. It turned out to not be capable of using a plug with both in one. If it's not working properly make sure to test the cable on another device before discrediting it as a bad cable, unlike me who spent extra money to buy a more expensive cable when I already had a good one.

Practical for headsets
New laptops often have 1 hole for the headset. Which can be a problem if you have a headset with 2 cables. This does the trick.

A bit of background noise
They seem okay. I bought these to connect a pair of IEMs to a gaming DAC which has one input for combined mic and sound. The IEMs I have (Antlion Kimura Duo) has a built in mic and has a two 3.5mm jacks for the mic and the audio. I needed a good Y adapter so was hoping the ENVEL would fit the bill. It works well enough. Sounds like music or gaming is fine. Mic performance is fine. But I notice that there is a bit of background noise or static when nothing is playing as compared to if I were to plug in the IEM audio in alone. Is it because of the quality of the product? I don't know.

Great little audio splitter / adapter!
This is a great little audio splitter / adapter. It allows you to connect a separate microphone and speaker / headphone to a computer. Great for going 'old school' with say a desktop microphone and external speakers. Good quality at a low price. This one's a winner!

All Things wear out
No matter how careful you are with things, they will eventually wear out. The most fatigue happens at the ends, for the ends of the wires receive the most movement. I deliberately love to get headsets that require these adaptors. Being well insulated, you will get a lot of use before metal fatigue causes a short in the wires, but the best thing is that the adaptor is there and it cost less to replace it than it does your headset. Your headset will wear out eventually too, but these adaptors will increase the life of your headset several times over.

Works fine with a cheap headset. The headset used has a jack for a mic and a jack speaker jack with a usb option. Works perfectly.
