They claim that its matt finish hides layer lines, I'd say that 80% true. I have the blue and the combination of the surface effect and the odd shade really masks the layer lines on horizontal surfaces. Its a very resilient filament. I keep mine in a kitchen, uncovered and without any drying. I print out of an old reprappro mendel on cold glass and glue stick. Even in these horrible conditions on my horrible machine, it sticks well, prints really cleanly and I can always rely on it. I'm a big fan of the cardboard spindle. I'm sick of the hard plastic ones going in the recycling. This is hard, brown, unbleached cardboard. Its so hard that you could re-wind on to it. Its a real shame companies aren't collecting them backup like milk bottles. Plus 1 roll = 1 tree. Thats infinitley more trees than my other filament brand! Its been a 10/10 product for me. I love the approach, I love the plastic, I love the value.

This is great filament, even better it is recognised on the Bambu X1C printer. Have printed 2kg of this stuff in a week. Flawless straight from the pack. Sticks to the bed and offers perfect prints. Well happy

This filament is a bargain for the price. Lovely matt finish. Bed adhesion is amazing. This was printing on a stock ender 3 V2 and you can see the quality in the images. Printing temp 195 Bed temp 60 Retraction 5mm First layer line width 105% No part fan until layer 6 Happy printing

Absolutely smashing. Quite expensive for a filament though. On par with Bambulab Filament, and once shipping is taken into consideration, only around £2 more per spool.

This filament is great. Great adhesion and superb quality! I was surprised to see that it does have some sheen. I was expecting something completely matte but this is more like satin. But I am not gonna complain because I love it! It wouldn't be as nice if it was completely matte. :)

Amazing matte finish. Though I recommend printing at at 230C or above as I had poor layer adhesion at 220C.

Filament färgen är matt precis som bilden. Utskrift på Bambu Lab AMS blev perfekt.

Das Polymaker PolyTerra PLA in Charcoal Black hat mich bei meinem aktuellen RC-Projekt voll überzeugt. Ich habe damit den kompletten Unterbau meines RC Jeeps gedruckt – also Bauteile, bei denen es nicht nur auf Optik, sondern vor allem auf Stabilität und Maßhaltigkeit ankommt. Und genau das liefert dieses Filament: Der Druck läuft absolut zuverlässig, das Material fließt sauber, es entstehen keine Stringing-Probleme oder Delaminationen. Das PolyTerra PLA lässt sich mit Standard-PLA-Settings problemlos drucken, bei mir mit 205 °C an der Düse und 60 °C auf dem Bett. Die Oberflächenqualität ist sehr gleichmäßig und matt – dadurch wirken selbst funktionale Teile optisch hochwertig. Das Material ist fester und weniger spröde als viele andere Standard-PLA-Sorten, was es ideal für technische Anwendungen macht. Besonders positiv: Die Nachhaltigkeitsphilosophie von Polymaker mit umweltfreundlicher Spule und recycelbarer Verpackung – das passt gut zum hochwertigen Gesamteindruck. Fazit: Für alle, die robuste und präzise Druckteile suchen, ist PolyTerra PLA eine klare Empfehlung. In Charcoal Black sieht es nicht nur top aus, sondern liefert auch hervorragende mechanische Eigenschaften – ideal für technische oder belastbare Bauteile.

Bought it as a gift, my friend really likes it. The prints are very nice without to much fiddeling with printer settings.

Polymaker ya es mi marca de filamento favorita, probé este Polyterra que en teoría es menos resistente y me encantó el acabado mate que tiene. No he realizado pruebas de esfuerzos mecánicos porque sólo he impreso figuras ornamentales, pero en definitiva el material ha superado mis expectativas. Carrete de cartón y bolsa reseñable, es muy bueno encontrar fabricantes que sí se preocupan por reducir el impacto ambiental de su negocio (incluso creo que siembran un árbol por cada carrete vendido)
