Use a mold if deep freezing
Really great product. I found that the gel packs become inflexible if you deep freeze them, so I put the entire hat onto a head sized inverted bowl, so the hat will fit nicely over your head even immediately after removing from the freezer.

Not suitable for chemo so don't buy if for that
Talk to you docs/nurses - they will not recommend; head must be frozen properly before, during and after chemo for specific lengths of time and the hospital should offer it. Beware, not everyone can take the extreme cold. I got wise and sent back for a refund, all good.

I was disappointed with this product because it doesn't cover the top of the head at all and the photo is very misleading fortunately I could return it

Bought to wear while having chemo to try to prevent hair loss. Total waste of time as the gel inserts dont stay frozen for very long (they had softened and were at body temperature with 1hr of wearing.

I bought this gel hat to try as I have ME-CFS and an overheating Brain.I normally wet my safari hat and put that on on hot days to cool my brain down ready for sleeping but I meditate my mornings away and now need something to cool my Brain down while I am Meditating as my brain is becoming more overheated whilst resting in a Mediative Healing State and I am hoping this gel hat will cool my brain down so that I can enter my Healing State of Bliss and stay there for my hour and a half of Meditational Healing Rest 🙏

I have a regular size head - it fits well, Ice packs work well to cool my whole head and help ease the headaches. Like all gel packs that I have ever used they last about hours from frozen to room temp.

Perfect for my migraines
I kept my hopes pretty low for this product but I just needed something and fast. I have a brain malformation that causes my skull to put pressure on my cerebellum and that gives me very painful, long lasting migraines. Usually, I take a bunch of medicine, rig up some ice pack situation out of 3 different ice packs and lay down with it. I’m constantly having to adjust the ice packs because they slip out of place all the time and that alone is a migraine within itself. I needed something that would cover my temples, forehead, back of the head, and top of the head, and even 3 ice packs couldn’t reach all those spots. Well this arrived in the mail today and I popped it in the freezer right away. I started to feel some slight head pain so I tried it on. My lord, this thing is AMAZING. It covers literally every spot on my head that needs it and it’s comfortable. I can see it being too heavy for walking around with it on but luckily (and not so luckily) for me, my migraines leave me completely incompasitated so I have no choice but to lay down. The ice packs in the hat aren’t too hard, but not too soft either so there’s just enough pressure. It’s also made of a great fabric that protects your skin from getting too cold. I guess my only complaint would be that I have very thick hair so I can feel the coolness more on my forehead lol
1. Place the gel pack inserts or the entire hat in the refrigerator or freezer until desired temperature. 2. Adjust the fastener closures around your head. The hat is then ready to relieve headaches and other symptoms.
