I ordered 2 mounts but only one arrived. I should have sent it back but took a 50% refund instead, ordered another set and got 2 this time. So I have 3, needed 2. I'll put one in the other car for the passenger. I did another review but It's not here. Maybe they deleted it because I got the refund? They include something called a magic plate that goes between the sticky metal plate and your phone to make it easier to remove the plate if you want to. Wife has a Samsung S22 and that magic plate wouldn't stick to it. 3M Blue masking tape wouldn't stick to it either. It must have some kind of coating. The wife didn't want it stuck directly to the phone so it's held in place by the protective case. It seems to work okay. I have a different unit in my car with a metal plate and it stays in place with just the case holding it there. The car mount was easier. I cleaned up 2 areas on the dash of our 1999 Sienna. I cleaned them with a cleaning tissue for glasses, put one on the driver's left above the A/C vent and the other just below the rear window defrost button. It seems pretty strong so we'll see. I'll update here if there's a change. My phone is a Samsung S8. I added a second metal plate to mine but they slide around, so I peeled off the paper from this holder's plate and put it on the back of the phone and it stuck. I put the other one from the different mount below that one and used the 3M Blue masking tape to see if it stays in place. I put the Otterbox case back on. This seems like a good system. It is certainly designed like what I had in mind. The one in my car mounts in the A/C vent. It's good but once mounted you cannot control the vent. I had to set the vent the way that's most convenient then put the vent mount on and there it stays. With this mount it is on the plastic near the vent so it can keep the phone cool on long trips when I'm using it for navigation. It's adjustable in several directions and the vent can also be adjusted. I'm giving these mounts 5 stars for now. Hopefully everything will go well. I like the convenience of the magnetic mount. If all goes well with the adhesives then I'll keep it 5 stars.

I’ve been looking for a car mount to safely hold my phone while using maps for directions that would be low-profile, could sit horizontally on the dash, and was easy on/off for my phone. Pros: • Adhesion seems good so far. I have a wide, flat horizontal space on my dash in front of one of the screens where it sits perfectly - can’t comment on how it sticks to a textured or curved dash. I applied it in winter but waited until the afternoon so it wasn’t freezing cold - we’ll see how it does in summer, but so far so good. • Perfect amount of “stick” to the magnet. My iPhone X is held securely with no wobbling but can also be pulled off easily if needed. I put the magnet sticker on the back of my phone case, below my phone holder, and it works great. I like not fumbling with clamping it in, like other mounts. • If you place the sticker in the center of the phone, you could pop the phone on either vertically or horizontally • Locking ring means I can twist it tight and it will stay in position without coming loose, rattling around, or starting to droop while driving. Cons: • Would have been nice if it folded away or popped off the mount for storage when not using it; I guess I could have gotten the suction version but they’re notorious for not sticking well. • Of course, only phones with the magnetic sticker on them can use it; not great for road trips with multiple drivers using their own phones to navigate or listen to music. Would have been nice if they included extra magnet stickers so multiple people in the household could add it to their phones, or to use if you get a new phone/case. Overall a low-profile, secure mount that’s easy on-and-off so I can read directions safely.

PRO: Very light, easy on the eyes. Very easy to install. Thin metal piece goes behind my phone cover, very easy no problems. The sticky double sided tape is STRONG. Like, I am not sure how I am going to get it off. The phone just pops in, sticks right on, and comes right off. On my Nissan Altima, once I get in the car, I stick it on. That's IT. Doesn't move from place even over bumpy road and stop and go traffic. CON: I have a manual Mazda roadster and because the dash and the car are not smooth and pretty bumpy, the phone ROTATES around the magnet, but doesn't fall off. Once again it doesn't fall off but it does rotate around. I think this is actually because the back of my phone is very smooth, so the rubber on the magnetized holder doesn't have anything to grip to. If I add a very thin rubber pad to the back of my phone I think that would solve the problem. But honestly I don't care, I just straighten it and keep going. Once again, does not fall off. Another minor CON, that is something I already got used to used to is that my Galaxy S6 has a very tactile and clicky Menu button. (I like it actually, but it's seriosuly an effort to press it.) So I can't press it while it's on the magnet, without supporting the phone with my index finger from the back. If you try to press the button without supporting it it falls off. Otherwise, you can freely tap everywhere else on the screen, and the two touch buttons on the sides and the phone will NOT fall off. My older phone has a touch button so this would not be an issue I believe. Anyways, I am super happy about it.

This is the second time purchasing this item, I use them in my car for satnav. Its a great quality item, feels very durable and is sturdy. Haven't had my phone fall off the mount or any other issues. Would recommend

J'en ai acheté 8 jusqu'a maintenant . Pour ma mere,mon ex mes freres mon travail et la j'ai mon compte amazone et je viens d'en recevoir 2 encore parce que cest un produit bien fait et le plastique qui est dessus il ne s'enleve pas a la longue . Il reste toujours en excelent état apres 3 ans d'utilisation. Je sait pas qui fait ce produit m'ais c'est un travail bien fait . Et ca mérite de prendre le temps de vous le dire. il faut bien le coler 1. Si tu netoye bien la surface sur la quelle tu le mets et ensuite tu le pose desus ,tu pousse environ 1 minute et meme deux dessus pour metre une pression , ensuite tu le touche plus tu le laisse 24 h sans le toucher pour que le collant fixe bien. et c'est tres important de vraiment plus le toucher et en meme temps l'installer quand la temperature de ton auto est bonne genre entre 10 degres et 30 degres. et apres c'est collé comme du beton. facon de parler mais je suis super satisfait de votre produit.
