Good quality and trully natural (no synthetic fragrance)
I bought this hand cream as I was looking for a travel size option. I found it to be moisturising, but not heavy. It absorbs quickly and leaves skin soft for a long time. The scent is quite strong. I love lemongrass essential oil, but maybe it’s more suited in a shampoo than a hand cream, however, I'm not going to complain, because so many brands use synthetic fragrance in their ‘natural’ products which I can't tolerate. I was happy to find a natural cream that also uses natural scents. I'll stick with it. Thank you

REVIEW: Neal's Yard Remedies Defend and Protect Hand Cream | For Soft Hands & a Delicate Scent
Anyone with dry hands will love this product for it's moisturising ability and easy of storage (small, 50ml). Works well, has longevity of moisturising ability and used sparingly, can last a long time. Can easily recommend.

great natural product
Brought this cream to make a gift parcel. Feed back I got was that it was a great smell, not greasy. Good quality product. Its seem expensive, however, only a little bit is needed so it will last long Selling point was that t was cruelty free, vegan.

Smell Strong but is good
The hand cream feels really nice and leaves my skin soft and smooth. It absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy at all. The only downside is that the scent is quite strong — very citrusy — so if you like bold, fresh smells, you’ll love it. Otherwise, it might be a bit much.

Sticky too perfumed & couldn’t squeeze out of tube .
Very overpowering scent, too strong for me .Bit sticky feel to it but quite hydrating. Too thick to squeeze out the tube so had to cut tube open & transfer cream in to a jar in order to use . Wouldn’t buy it again . My go to hand cream is by ‘ Balance Me ‘ & will go back to this one .

This company and product is a spectacular find. My hands have been drier than usual. I coat them in hand cream before bed and have to keep putting lotion on them during the day. In trying the hand cream, I also had the opportunity to try the corresponding Hand wash by Neal's Yard. I used the hand wash all day. At the end of the day, I used the hand cream. It smells wonderful. It smells like lemon grass. I love the fragrance. There is also niaouli in it. This is an essential oil that protects and restores skin. I squeezed about a dime to nickel sized amount into my hand and rubbed it in. It is a cream. My experience with creams is that creams are heavier than a regular lotion. I can tell this is heavier because it does take a little time for my skin to absorb it. I can feel it relieving my dry hands instantly. Next morning, I feel like I have all new hands. They look healthy. They look like they do in the summer. They look better than my hands do in the summer. My hands after one use of the hand cream and using their handwash all day are softer, not painful at all. I am 6 hours into my day as write this. I have washed my hands a few times already. My hands still feel good. This is a small size. Just under 1/4 cup. 1.69 ounces/50 ml. It is made in England. It is certified organic. No parabens, no synthetic colors or fragrances. Cruelty free. This is a product I can feel good about using. I find it very difficult to find a good hand cream. This is an excellent one and surpasses many if not all that I have used in my adult life. This is definitely a keeper and definitely something I would recommend to my friends.

Neal's Yard Remedies has been an absolute favorite of mine ever since stumbling across one of their shops in London several years ago. The overall vibe in their shops is such that just walking into them - with the aromatherapy scents and products on display - imparts a sense of wellness found in few other shops. The company has published a lovely book on wellness and natural remedies that is a go-to reference in my house. I've been able to get several of their products on amazon and I love them all. This hand cream is AMAZING! We've all tried how many that work for a while, but this keeps my hands soft and smooth for a very long time. It's slightly tacky but eventually gets absorbed enough that the tackiness dissipates. Its powers are magnified if you can slip on a pair of cotton gloves for a bit after applying it. Among other things, this hand cream contains lemongrass, thyme, naiouli, beeswax and witch hazel. The lemongrass and thyme are the main scent notes I perceive. I was concerned that the witch hazel would be drying, but I think it is here for its soothing qualities because this cream feels nourishing and is very hydrating. The tube costs $8.00 for 50ml (1.69 fl.oz.) as I write this, but only a dab is needed so it seems to be reasonably prices.

I would say not bad but maybe not the most cost effective choice. First, the fragrance is too strong for me, a bit of giving me a headache to be honest. The cream itself is thick and heavy but it glides over my hand quite well and absorbs into skin fast. It hydrates and protects my hand long enough (tested by putting it on before going to bed). Now, I believe everything should be viewed for its cost performance. This one is a bit cheaper than L'Occitane ($4.73/oz compared to $5.58/oz), but I would rather spend a bit more so that I can enjoy the fragrance. As for effectiveness, I still think Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream is the best of the best, which cost $3.45 / Fl Oz. Overall, hand cream is decent but in terms of quality and performance vs price, I probably won’t pay myself to buy it again.

Neal's Yard Remedies Daily Defend & Protect Hand Cream is a light weight non-greasy hand cream. It is not thick or oily like most of the hand creams I have, and does not interfere with any of my activities. It is a rare hand cream that I can use without leaving smudges on my tablet or phone. It is lightly fragranced, smelling more of lavender than lemongrass, to me, but very pleasant. I am thrilled to see that Neal's yard is now available on Amazon. It is near impossible to get in Hawaii and is (no pun intended) hands-down my favorite brand. I have been using their products since I was a child and it is a rare brand I can absolutely trust. When did they drop the apothecary from their name? Neal's yard truly is. They understand the medicinal use of herbs and flowers like few others. While this hand cream is not my favorite product of theirs, it is already a favorite hand cream because I can use it, whatever I am doing without worry of my hands being slippery, or greasy. or having it come off on clothing or electronics.
