Great bass
They performed out standing! Knock you back bass. Crisp and clear, powerful with the right amp and could be heard for blocks. Great quality. Price vs performance i say is balanced you get what you pay for.

Incredible
I previously had a Skar EVL 15 with a skar box and a rp2000.1 amp and was debating making the upgrade to sundown. I was very nervous to buy a $700 sub because i didn’t really know how much louder it would be but i ordered it and used the same box and amp and wow this sub is a beast, slams the lows like no other, great sound quality, and gets very loud. With the evl 15 every 30 seconds of loud volume the coil would get hot and start to stink, but with the sundown i played max volume for well over 30 minutes straight and the sub didn’t even get warm. In my opinion it is worth the extra $500 to get a Sundown.

154 dbs is not BS.
I have 2 12xv3s on 5k doing 150.3db at 31hz. The install is the most important thing. You need a good box, cabin mods, good electric, an amp that actully makes rated power, ect. The vehicle can make a big difference as well. For instance, at 1st I was only hitting 148 peak, with zero bandwidth. After putting 1 1/2 worth of plywood on my roof and back wall of my tundra, Im smashing 28hz-40hz. All that flex looks cool in a video, but its just wasted energy. I can play music nonstop 148 dbs. I beat the hell out my subs. I didnt even like sundown because of all the fanboys. I ended up finding a sick deal I couldnt resist......now Im one of them fanboys.

Keep on slamming
Been a sundown customer for years, great subwoofers for people who love low bass, this is not a subwoofer for your everyday music. Buy at your own discretion 25-39hz is key for these subwoofers
