At first, I thought this was pointless. It did not help much; however, I stuck with it. As a result, it became more and more potent as time went on. Unfortunately, I drink 6 shots of Jack Daniels nightly (mixed with Mexican Coke), so you can imagine the chaos. It took an entire bottle to adjust to my system. Now, it works flawlessly. I can drink with zero heat and zero redness. I highly recommend this product as a long term complement to alcohol flushing. It may not work the first time (or ten times), but eventually, it kicks in a does the job right. I am trying to cut down on my drinking, so I would like to remove these in the future. Until then, the future is now. By the way, I purchased every bottle. I wish I got paid for this review, but that was not the case. Too bad. I could have made some money.

It does work, but maybe not completely take away your flushing. If I tend to be lobster red, then this will bring me down to light pink instead. One the inside, I still feel the heat and I know I should be red, but if I look in the mirror, I'm not that red. Follow instructions, take 2 tablets 1 hour before drinking and 2 more tablets 1 hour into drinking. These are just vitamins and supplements so there's not side effects, but of course don't take too much at one time. For me, it worked on the first time, even though I took it at the same time as my first drink because I almost forgot to take them beforehand, but it still worked. The second time I followed instructions and even though the second serving 1 hour into drinking is optional, I felt it was necessary for me so I took it. People told me I was red, but not as usual, so I guess it works. Same thing the 3rd time I took it. So I now how this product affects me, it will depend on each person. Some might need to take a few times for the body to start reacting, and for some, it will work on the first time. Just try it, nothing to lose.

Tried this stuff multiple times and it just does not work. The only thing I found that works for "Asian Flush Syndrome" is to start out nursing your first drink for at least an hour. I don't know why but that is the only thing that ever worked for me. If I nurse that first drink (or beer for me) my body seems to get "used" to the alcohol and then I can drink all night long, as long as I don't ingest too much, too quickly (like doing shots!) without any symptoms. I've used this method for the last 30 years and it works most of the time.

This product works incredibly well for me. If you have this kind of reaction from drinking alcohol, then your body does not produce an enzyme involved in metabolizing alcohol well enough to metabolize alcohol normally. This product assists your body to metabolize alcohol normally by filling in for the lacking enzyme. I think there are 2 basic kinds of these products, the kind with NAC, and the kind with the other stuff. I tried the other kind and it does not work as well for me, but I think you need to try them both and see which works best. You still need to take something that will reduce the histamine response that makes you flush or splotchy. The NAC (and proprietary blend?) will allow you to process alcohol more normally (you don't get drunk as fast, less headache, less palpitations), but you will still get the histamine response that will turn you red or give you hives unless you take the right antihistamine. I take the active ingredient in Pepsid AC, which is famotidine, 20 mg. You can get an inexpensive bottle of 200 tables on Amazon. There are products that have the NAC and the antihistamine together but I think they are too expensive.

I've been trying various asian flush supplements to see what works best and is most cost-effective and had high hopes that codeRed would be a more effective alternative to pepcid ac but be more affordable than af reducer, noglo, af formula, and before elixir. I was disappointed to find that even after taking 4 pills and only having a few drinks it did little to nothing to reduce my flush and I ended up having to take some pepcid ac on top of it so I wouldn't start looking like a hot tamale. I kept using them throughout the last month or so and was hoping that maybe the pills just needed some time to build up in my system and take effect but I've used up the whole bottle now and it still does nothing for me.

I have tried different brands for the most effective solution. code red is lower on the price and it works better. I can drink more than my normal weight. I am very lightweight. 3 beers would put me to sleep. I also get shortness breath. After taking code red, I can at least enjoy the whole night with friends. I have taken shots of tequila and drink champagne in one night which I never did before. I still get little red on my face but the feeling of alcohol allergy is definitely reduce. no itchy, shortness breath, and hangover. I finally understand why people enjoy drinking.

Being a Caucasian woman who never had a problem with alcohol, it was a nasty surprise when my body started having an issue with it at age 43. I am a light /social drinker and never experienced a flush. It SUCKS!! Nothing helped. And going out wasn't as fun. I finally found this product and although I feel like a wierdo cause I can't spontaneously enjoy a glass of wine anymore; at least I can take a couple of these pills about an hour before I want to imbibe, and it allows me to have a normal afternoon or evening enjoying a glass of wine or cocktail with friends and family at home or social events. Grateful I found it. It's really helped me get back to just drinking normally.
