Great for older homes with limited power output, lowers costs, bright light, and bulbs remain cool.
I am very happy with this purchase. The GE Bright Stik 9 Watt Non-Dimmable 2700K LED bulbs put off excellent light. They are very cost effective and last. I have purchased five packages of these bulbs for both my home and my business. They have been excellent. We love them enough to purchase another ten packages, fifteen total. We have not been disappointed. They have lowered our power bills. The bulbs remain cool, even after being on for long periods. This is an added benefit that I love!Another excellent quality of these bulbs is that they draw very little electricity. They have lowered the power bills at our residence and our business. They have lessened the power load on our business, which is a 66 year old building. This has prevented overloaded breakers and fuses. It also allows us to be able to use other equipment without having to have the building rewired until we have enough funding. They are an excellent investment, great money-saver, last without burning out, and help with homes with older electric panels and lower output capabilities. I highly recommend them.

I had started using these type of bulbs [the ones I had before were the coiled version] a long time ago when I found out my old
I can only give a review on first impressions at this time. I was a bit worried how it was packaged, but after opening them-I realized the bulb part is more of a plastic [assuming a cover to the base, not sure honestly]. I had started using these type of bulbs [the ones I had before were the coiled version] a long time ago when I found out my old wiring ate regular bulbs like candy. The downfall I have found with them is they start out low and grow in brightness with a little time, but that the coloring is always yellowish. I had gotten use to it, so I got these with the same expectations. But with that....All I can say is when I hit on the light, I couldn't believe how much whiter the light was...and bright. I'm actually impressed. The ones I got before were small, so I wasn't holding my breath too much when I saw these were even smaller than those. Don't be deceived in that regard...no warming up time with these and they light up the room excellent.Time will be the true test, but I will revise if any issues pop up.

Love these light sticks
I tried these a few years ago. They fit in standard light fixtures and offer a good amount of light with the energy efficiency. Some energy efficient bulbs are not worth buying ever again. These ones are getting harder to find. I hope they keep making them.

Great Deal on LED Bulbs that Look Good and Turn on Instantly
There are great lights, at a great price. They give off a very natural color light and run cool (except that the base does tend to get hot). Their shape makes them easy to install, and usable in many different fixtures. And at this price, they are essentially free, because the savings in the electric bill will pay for them in quite short order. It's hard to say what their life span will be, but, in theory, it should be many years, as they are LED's (we'll see if that turns out to be the case.) And, making it even better, they are instant-on: no waiting for the light to slowly ramp up. They go to full brightness immediately, unlike many other LED bulbs. An easy five-star product, particularly at this price!Note: You can get these in different brightness levels, and in different temperatures. So, make sure you look around before you make your decision. These 9-watt bulbs at 2700K temperature are just perfect for most average-sized rooms.

Good Alternative to Incandescent Lamps
After a short blitz at Home Depot, these Bright Stiks are becoming harder to find. They are a compact, convenient and thoughtfully engineered medium base incandescent replacement by GE. One noteworthy flaw/oversight/cheapout is that they generate wideband RFI centered on ~185MHz in the VHF TV high band in excess of limits specified by FCC Title 47 CFR Part 15. The limits for 88-216 Mhz are <150 uv/m and randomly tested lamps in this batch measured between 225 and 740 uv/m. If your OTA TV mysteriously loses lock on Ch.8 or 9 (mine do), turn off the LED lamps to watch TV! Note: these are NOT the only LED/CFL lamps that have trouble meeting the guidelines. These lamps come in packaging that clearly specify their Part 15 compliance and the associated caveats.
