Disappointed
I received an open package. The hard drive makes a very loud scratching noise even when nothing is copying or being read.

Great price for the 14Tb which gives me enough capacity to backup a Synology NAS. Not that the speed matters so much for that, it's really all about the capacity, but it seems plenty fast enough.

I'm using this drive as a media server and was originally concerned about the speed of the drive for streaming. My concerns were unfounded as this drive performs PERFECTLY! Lots of storage and the pricing was just right. Excellent expansion drive!

There's a reason why this brand has been a leader for so long. With plug adapters to accommodate anyone across the entire globe. With a hard drive space 4x more than a portable for nearly the same price. With proven quality from other portable drives that's lasted me over a decade and still going strong. And now at a price point that makes a 14tb storage drive a worthwhile investment aa drives of this size are slowly becoming more affordable. There's simply too many positives towards upgrading now. Yes, this one isn't portable as it requires an ac cable, but for an all in one giant media storage drive at an affordable price (even better if you catch it on sale as I had) There's no better time to consider upgrading, and saving those smaller drives as general backup. Time tested proven quality from a brand that's highly reviewed everehere for good reason.
