They do flex a bit but I would recommend putting them on the back of your neck instead of over the head as you would a pair of headphones since I feel like that would put less stress on the mechanisms within. They’re also fairly quiet, more so than I expected. It does its job of blowing air upward, or you can flip it upside down and have it blow air down at your chest.
