Which way should the arrow on the blade point when installed? Toward the front of the saw or toward the handle?

Is 24 tpi good for cutting pvc or should i drop down to 18 tpi?

Either should work just fine. 24 will go a bit slower and leave a cleaner finish. 18 will cut faster but not quite as clean. You will probably need to clean the pieces up with a little sanding cloth. I would go with 24 since it is a great all purpose blade.

I have a generic mini-hacksaw but the blade it came with won't make a dent in wood screws. Would this do the trick?

These blades are intended for metal. You would be better off with a wood cutting blade or a typical wood saw.
