CompTIA A+ Certification All-In-One for Dummies

This book is broken down in a way that is very easy to understand. Not only will this book help you to pass the Comptia A+ exam (which I did after reading it), but it's great to use as a resource after you're certified. As for the negative reviews given to this book because people thought that a DVD ROM was not included in error, this edition does not come with a DVD as the labs and practice tests are instead downloaded from a website to be run on your computer. This book really helped me to pass the CompTia A+ exam. I would definitely recommend this book to people even with a casual understanding of computers that are interested in getting certified.

I purchased this book for my fiance who is going to be taking the CompTIA A+ exam soon. He says the book is very well written, easy to understand, and has loads of great information in it. I'm sure he'll have no trouble with passing the exam after using this book as a learning tool!

My comments pertain to the Kindle version. Good information, but I expected a little more user-friendliness. I've been studying computers fulltime for several months, but this book wasn't quite dumbed-down enough to suit me. Or, perhaps it was a matter of formatting. I wanted a few more pictures. Duh...

bought this book thinking it wasn't going to be too terribly informative however... i was wrong. this book is packed with information and is delivered to you in a meaningful way. easy to understand for new comers to IT and also great for some old folk just looking for a refresher. i would suggest this to anyone.

the book seemed pretty good. pretty well written. easy to understand. it help me to realize that it was not the direction for me to go. I'm going into web development instead. it's a much better fit for the way my brain works. but my impression is if you're good at working with your hands and talking to people this book would help you get the certifications indeed to be successful

This book has everything you could possibly want for the A+ testing. It is very good at explaining the each part of the book in plane terms. I plan on keeping the book forever as a good reference book when you get stumped on a problem. I would definitely recommend this book anyone wanting to take the A+ exam.

This book deserves a 5-star rating! It breaks down the basics of a computer and yet, it goes down deep into the contents and details of the IT lingo. If it wasn't for this book, I wouldn't know how to get started in technology. If you're a tech person and want to learn a brief, but detailed overview of modern technology, buy this certification book. It's worth it.

This book has proven to be a valuable resource in my preparations for the A+ Certification exam. The downloadable files were helpful with the practice exams in both times and untimed format. I am using the untimted version to discover my weak areas and becoming more specific in my study areas.

This book is perfect. Easy to read and understand. It fully prepares you for the exam. Gives you access to some on-line practice as well. I cannot praise the book enough. Totally great value for the price I paid, almost half the cost of the official comptia book. You would be a foolish person to walk away from this bargain. Superb.

Its perfect

Seems pretty good so far, I just finished "book 3" earlier this week. some of the concepts present here are really outdated though, what's the point of learning about outdated technology, especially since it evolves at such a rapid rate! I guess Comptia is to blame for that and not these guys who wrote this book. Most of the stuff is very easy to understand and remember, if you are good with computers you will blaze through this book fast.

Really like this book, bought another IT book but much prefer this one. Pictures are great and it has really improved my understanding of hardware, which is where I was really lacking. Love the little tests, I am sure they help with learning. Would recommend.
