Besides the great taste that my kids love, my rating is for how well they are working for my kids. I purchased them initially for two reasons. My kids (especially my 2 1/2 year old) were sick non-stop between August and the end of November. Additionally, my 4 year old had been complaining daily that her stomach hurt. Someone suggested that I put her on probiotics so I bought these with the hope they would help her and also help both my kids' immune systems. And for a little more background, my 2 year old had been on Miralax since just past 1 years of age. Prior to the probiotics I had to increase his Miralax dosage to allow him to produce a BM without too much pain (otherwise he screamed and it would take a long time to produce). After the first month on these probiotics (they've been on them for about 4 months now), I saw an amazing difference. My 4 year old rarely complains about her stomach hurting, and my 2 year old has been producing BMs with much more ease and no pain. That was something I didn't expect, so it was a great plus with regards to this product. The interesting thing is that it has made his BMs a little more solid (rather than mushy), and I think that is why it is easier for him to pass. He is getting much more regular. He's still on Miralax, but I have already reduced his dosage in half and will try reducing further very soon. As for getting sick, both of them have been doing much better. I also started them on a multi-vitamin so I am guessing it's a combination of the two that is giving their immune system a boost. They made it through December through February without too much illness (they're in daycare full time). My only complaint about these probiotics is they don't have enough kitty shapes as both my kids want the kitties :-). I definitely would recommend these to anyone whose kids are having digestive issues, and it may help their immune system too!

My daughter is very picky when it comes to vitamins and chewable products, but she loves the Acidophikidz. She is five years old and says that they taste better than the Flintstones vitamins, which she takes every day but only because she knows they are good for her not because she likes the taste. The same day that she started using it, I noticed a change in her bowel movements. That day she went twice to the bathroom. She used to go every 2 or 3 days, but now she goes every day with no effort from her part. I am very happy with this product. It took a while to research other brands and this one seemed like the best choice due to the ingredients and quality control of the company. My three year old loves the Flintstones vitamins and had no trouble taking these as well. Both of them like the animal shapes and the taste. The price is reasonable and benefits are great. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend them to a friend.

Probiotics have finally been the key to keeping my 3 year old's digestive system happy. Despite eating a very well balanced diet with lots of fruits and veggies, he has suffered with irritable bowel type symptoms since he was under a year. Prior to trying these we'd tried fiber gummies, prescription laxatives, and other kids probiotics. These have been the best so far. We've used Lil Critters Probiotics as well and Acidophikidz seem to work better, taste better and are cheaper (for a full dose). My son only needs 1 of these (as opposed 2 of most of the other kids brands). They make enough of a difference in my son's gut that even he can tell if we've forgotten for a day or two. His doctor was shocked how much of a difference these made. With our next child we will definitely consider probiotics much earlier as they seem to have helped more than anything else we tried.

So I was worried that my kids would not like the flavor of these, since some of the reviews said they tasted like kitty litter... And when they first arrived, the kids first reaction was horrible... I decided to take all the cotton out and let the vitamins sit in the fridge for a couple days before we tried them again (since the cotton they used for packing smelt funny, and had a different texture than most vit, cottons, I thought that was probably causing the fowl taste). I was correct, after 3 days they were awesome! Such a great flavor, and the fact that they have a billion cells in one chewable, so great!!! MY daughter needs to take probiotics since her appendix was removed, so I really wanted these to work, cuz we cant afford to give her 4 of the other children's ones a day (they have such a small about of cells), and the ones that do have enough are an arm and a leg; plus she is too young to swallow an adult one. Another great thing about these is that I can give one to my other children daily (and sneak one myself every now and again) and not feel guilty about taking away form her supply, because they are so affordable. I recommend these!

This is an excellent product. Not only just for children for adults!

In previous years when my kids were continuously on this product, they hardly ever got sick and not for long. This year it doesn't seem to be providing the same benefit. Pros: For kids, it looks good, smells good, and taste good. This makes my job easy as a mom. Until recently, my kids stayed well the majority of the time while they were on this. Cons: Order ahead to make sure it comes on time. Gets expensive with 3 kids. (worth keeping them well.)

I have been giving these to my 3 daughters ages 3,4,6 for a month now. I am coming back to order more! My kids love the taste and honestly love that they are animal shapes ;) I honestly believe that these have strengthened their immune systems as their father got the yucky stomach bug and was down for 2 weeks! Yes 2 weeks and non of my kids got it! He was really sick and the girls were fine. My kids used to go poop once a day, but now they are going twice a day with no pain or struggle. I have 1 child with an auto immune disease ( psoriasis ) and we need to do all that we can to help heal her gut and these are helping immensely!

These are great kid probiotic supplements. My daughter takes them every day and has for over a year now. She will be four next month. Never had a problem with getting her to take it. She likes the taste and actually thinks it's a treat. These seem to really help keep her regular with bowel movements and after a few strong antibiotic treatments when she had pneumonia, I'm glad that she is regularly taking these to build back and maintain a healthy gut. I trust this brand as I've know them for over a decade now, back when I worked at a health food store. I also recommend their children's multivitamin.
