Whoa, I was not expecting to love it THIS much!
Another well known polish brand recently released their first thermal, but I wasn't in love with the two colors they have, so I went looking for others. I've never had a thermal before. Let me tell you, I'm OBSESSED now! The color shift is so amazing, and what's not mentioned is that there is a THIRD COLOR; an intermediate orange that is prominent, so it really does look like a sunset at certain times!Sure, I get the whole "ketchup and mustard" thing, but I am loving it and especially on my skin tone! The application was SUPER SMOOTH and after three coats and a top coat, they were literally indestructible! I am a "fingertip typer" and usually show wear after two or three days, but this one did not quit! I could have worn this until it all wore off, I loved it that much. I literally only took it off because I own almost 100 colors and wanted to try others!

A favorite
I love almost all of Cirque's thermal/color shifting polishes, but this is a particularly pretty one!

Great thermal color
Great colors that react quickly to changes in temperature. My only complaint is that the lighter shade is a little sheer and it applied a little thick. It was fun showing off the color changes to others.

Nice but not changing color
The nail polish is much smaller then expected for the price. It goes on smoothly but takes a long time to dry. Color is matt and needs a very high gloss tip coat. Unfortunately there is no color change upon temperature change and that’s the only reason why I bought this polish. Disappointed indeed.

Pretty good
The media could not be loaded. This review is for the "Lone Star" color. I'm a fan of Cirque, I always love their stuff. (Except their terrible skinny brushes!) I'm pretty happy with this one but it's not as *amazing* as some of their other polishes. (They have amazing magnetics!)Color accuracy and layering:It's not as vibrant as it looks in the product images, I'd say it's like a dusty periwinkle to various denim-like shades, to a muted dark navy. (Even over white. I did try that, and it doesn't change much). All the shades are nice colors, just softer and muted, not very vibrant or saturated. It is sort of a jelly, so it's a bit sheer, which I wanted. I wanted to experiment with the color changing over other colors showing through. And with no base color, I like how the warmest color is so sheer it is very light and subtle and has a true jelly look, while the coldest/darkest shade becomes a dark navy and isn't sheer anymore. But layering with other colors doesn't work super well because you don't really get a perfectly even layer. It does self level pretty nicely, so it isnt streaky, but with the sheerness you often see some slight pooling visible no matter how smooth you get your coat. So i always end up with it a bit thicker/more opaque at the tips, even if I specifically try not to let it pool there when applying. (See my photo layered with cirque's "lucky jelly" red. Instead of a true mix, you see both the red and the blue, depending on how the blue coat pooled. Maybe a cool 4th of July look, but not the type of layering I wanted.)Formula:I think this polish shrinks a bit as well (you can sort of see in my photo with the french tip look- a sliver of the white edge of my nail is showing. It was not like that when I first painted them, and I didnt file them or anything, that's the shrinkage.) As for the formula, it dries with a weird matte finish, but not totally matte that would look intentional. You definitely need a top coat. But I know that's often the nature of thermals.Color changing:The color change works very well and I do often get the french tips effect, even with my somewhat short nails.

Love the Shade, Love the Concept - Not Nail Polish if it Just Peels Right Off
When I saw this option for nail polish I loved it. First, I went Cruelty Free a year ago and Nail Polish is suffering. Half the brands don't even work like a nail polish and this is one.The Good: The color is amazing when it's cold. Deep blood red. Love it. The changing of the nail due to temperature changes is legit. Although, your hands tend to be the same temperature most of the time, where half the nail is light and half dark. But if you're drinking coffee or just came in from the cold, it's really cool to watch change. The UGLY: This is not nail polish. This is something that looks like nail polish but just peels off within one day of wear. I tried doing thin layers, I tried doing thick layers, I even tried skimping and only doing one layer, which doesn't look good. No matter what I tried, with a day they all just peel and chip off. Really too bad. It is a beautiful shade, but there's no point in purchasing if it doesn't serve it's main function.

Best thermal polish
It turns from a dark berry at cold temperature to a medium pink once warm. I keep my nails short so I didn’t experience the full range of color gradation at once, but I found them very complimentary to each other and a cool way to get two manicures in one. I didn’t find it gloopy or hard to work with. One thing to keep in mind with this formula is that it dries matte. I didn’t have any issues with chipping and with proper prep, it lasted over 2 weeks.

Didn't change color or endure
I ordered the Rothko Red. The polish has a mild odor (much milder than typical polishes) and, after three coats, was a opaque medium red. The finish is matte without a top coat. I used a Orly topcoat for shine. The color did not change over the course of my typical day to day activities (e.g., going from air conditioning to outdoors, getting in a hot shower, etc.) nor could I get it to change even by dipping my fingertips in ice water or running them under hot tap water. The polish also began to chip after 3-4 days. Even with touchups, it flaked off significantly at the 5-6 day mark, and I removed it. I do not recommend it. There are more durable options, even among the 10-free, 8-free, etc. polishes, and the color change (the primary reason I bought it) didn't happen.
