The only teapot you should own.
Good for: Anyone who uses loose leaf tea and drinks alone. Not good for: People who use mostly bagged tea or those who need a multiple-serving pot. People who prefer cast iron teapots.Discussion: This is a plain teapot with exquisite functional design. My last one lasted over ten years. If you drink a lot of tea, don't waste your time or money on cute designer pots or novelty steepers. This is the pot you want. It is a no-nonsense, no fuss, efficient, and durable way to make your tea.Pros: The spout does not drip. The steeping basket is wide--easy to fill and easy to empty. It has a tab for handling and the pot has an indent so it sits in place and doesn't spin around. The frame is food-safe plastic and the mesh is tough fabric. It can be scrubbed, bleached, put through the dishwasher, and subjected to all manner of indignity without stretching or puncturing. My last one outlasted the pot. The handle is large, fixed, and placed for pouring. The lid is crockery and removeable instead of hinged, cheap metal. It measures cups by the standard 8 ounces (not the 6 ounces of traditional china teacups), so one brew will fill a standard travel mug. It comes in larger sizes if you need more capacity. This pot has it all over mixed media pots with flippy lids, pots with small handles or upright and/or hinged handles, pots without integrated baskets, pots with narrow openings, and glass pots with fragile glass baskets.Cons: It's functionally different from cast iron pots that are meant to heat as well as steep. If that's your tea SOP, obviously this pot won't suit. More importantly, it no longer comes in the cheerful yellow color. RIP, old yellow pot. :(

A Disaster of a Teapot
I ordered this cream colored Chatsford teapot after having to return the white Chatsford, which had defects and was an unattractive cold white color. This pot was even worse! The very first time I made tea in this pot, I noticed a ring of tea on the counter underneath it. On closer investigation, I found that the pot was actually leaking tea from a fine crack between the body of the pot and the base at the bottom. So, it doesn't even hold water, certainly a minimum requirement for a teapot. In addition, it had a pit mark on the body of the pot, and the cream color was not attractive--it has a brownish tinge. It is sad that quality has suffered so badly since the Chatsford teapots ceased to be made in England. (I believe they are now made in Thailand.) I have used Chatsford pots for over twenty years and had three (2-cup, 4-cup, and 6-cup) from the old days when they were made in England. The 2-cup was the one I used every day, and unfortunately I broke it a few weeks ago. I wanted to replace it and took a chance on the Asian-made pots, even though I had heard that the quality was not as good. I have now had to return two of these pots, and I give up on Chatsford pots that are not made in England.I would not recommend these teapots to anyone.

It is beautiful!
There is 'everything' to love about it. A soft white, smooth edges, no leaking spout, the lid stays on when you pour. Tea stays hot, I do wrap a towel around it on my coffee table. The directions say use a potholder for the handle. But I find it is not too hot for me to carry. It looks more expensive. Holds about 16 ounces.

Be careful with the lid, but great pot!
This is a great little teapot. I have a blue at home and this cream at work Too bad I bumped the lip on the cream lid and broke it when using it the first time. I found replacement lids for the 6 cup but not for this 2 cup size.

the Chatsford teapot is my favorite teapot for everyday use. I have three of them in different sizes. the removable filter makes lose leaf brewing very easy. the pot and filter are easy to clean

The perfect little teapot
I love this teapot. I broke the first one & replaced it immediately. The insert fits perfectly & makes 2 cups of tea - just what I need each morning.
