No Issues At All
Easy and fast setup using the recommended apps. We have wirelessly printed and scanned with no jamming or connection issues. Not the quietest machine but print quality is good and seems fast enough for home use.

Good color printer for a good price
Good choice option for both price and quality. I had a much larger Canon MX90 that was a workhorse the quit working. The TR4720 was easy to setup and works as well as the MX90.

The worst purchase I have ever made
This printer is the the most terrible, uneconomical POS I have ever had the displeasure of using. Set up from my cell phone was easy and done in minutes. Sounds like a compliment, however... It is an immense struggle getting anything else to sync with the printer. It will randomly just be unavailable FOR NO REASON! It doesn't matter what we try to send, it fails without explanation. Even the test page will fail. This includes both wired and wireless jobs. It will literally be unavailable to the wired connection. The printer boasts about its auto-document feeder and 2 sided copying: HA HA HA HA HA HA What a nightmare! The document feeder works fine The 2 sided copying ONLY WORKS when you cycle thru the settings and select 2 sided (remember to set it back to normal every time) Want to feed your 2 sided document in to get 2 sided copies? NOPE! You have to feed 2 one sided documents to get the 2 sided copy. Are we having fun yet? Now for my most despised feature: THE STUPID INK CARTRIDGES PRINT AN AVERAGE OF 90 PAGES BEFORE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED!!!! Hey, if you're lucky, you'll get a black ink replacement for $25, usually more like $30. You would pay less to take your documents to CVS or a Copy/Print shop. AWESOME! In all fairness: The printer quality is beautiful It's light weight and compact, perfect for home or cramped dorms It's relatively quiet and fast (if it's nice enough to allow you to connect) I HATE IT! The lower prince lured me in. This was a gift for my elderly mother to print her weekly meeting documents, send fax or scan as needed. SHE CANNOT WORK IT WITHOUT ME, no one can. She must think I hate her for buying her such a beautiful useless piece of crap. I wish I knew in time to return it. Now I'm going to buy her another printer and will have to have this one destroyed so no innocent unsuspecting person finds it and thinks it will be useful. This is the Annabelle of printers (minus the killing), it will send you down a dark path of rage and frustration.

Some Pros And Plenty Of Cons For Me
It arrived the next day, well packed, compact and not big or bulky. I was replacing a Hewlett-Packard Office Jet 4620 which was very good after almost 10 Yrs! I’ve been testing thios Canon it only for 2 days so time will tell. It does print pretty well. I printed texts that were perfect and photos on regular paper just to test colors. The set up to Wi Fi was SEAMLESS!! I didn’t even have to think. It’s beautifully connected to my iPhone 13,IPad and obsolete iMac from 2007!! It’s an absolute pleasure to navigate all the features needed on 3 devices and get a perfect response! So far,so good. NOW for the disappointing features. The printer is shoddy and parts with flimsy plastic, especially the confusing paper load and catch tray!! U have to handle that tray with care or it will break like a dry twig! I never saw such a weird,3 part folding paper tray! It was the most complicated thing to figure out-the entire paper aspect. Next it does what it’s supposed to do but it is very “primitive!” What was fast, automatic, efficient in very few steps on the HP is NOT this Canon. If the machine is not used for a few hours/over night,it has to be turned on “manually”before u can ask for a print job! It is wireless but there is no “sleep” function so I left it on. It turns off after a time so it cannot find the Printer online to select for the job. Unless u stand up and go to the printer to press the start button u can’t print! Slow print speed, and not a high capacity for big jobs without refilling the paper. So all in all it is a good printer given it’s only $79.00! It is a watered down, simplified printer but it is doing what I need it do do so I am ok with it so far. For several reasons I was turned off to the the HP Insta Ink Program. They make it hard to cancel and they were deceptive with me. For now I will see how expensive it gets with the Canon using cartridges. I print a lot. Then I will decide. The Caanon website is alot more user friendly than HP which is helpful. I hope this review helps!

Great printer at a good price
I received the printer and it had a problem with the print quality. They took it back even though it was after the deadline. The new one works perfectly. It's a great printer at a reasonable price. It even prints both sides of the page. I'm very happy with it.

Great Printer for Home Use
I bought this printer for home use and it works really well. The setup was simple and the wireless connection is convenient. The print quality is clear and the auto document feeder is very helpful when scanning multiple pages. Overall a very practical printer for everyday use.

The Set-up was Tricky, but the Printer Works Like a Champ!
TR4720 does not appear in the drop-down menu on the set-up page. I had to search for how to install TR4720 on Canon's site. I also had to watch a video on how to install the ink and printing options. I was finally able to print seventy double sided pages with no problem. The printer works like a champ, but the set-up was tricky.

Ink issues
The Canon PIXMA TR4720 All-in-One Wireless printer has been a recent addition to my home office, and after using it for a while, I'm ready to share my thoughts. While it certainly offers good value for its price and generally performs well, one significant drawback prevents it from achieving a higher rating, leading me to give it a 3/5. First and foremost, the appeal of the TR4720 lies in its affordability. It's a very budget-friendly option for an all-in-one printer that includes printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities, along with wireless connectivity. For basic home use, printing documents, occasional photos, and scanning, it performs quite reliably. The print quality for everyday documents is crisp and clear, and photo prints, while not professional-grade, are certainly acceptable for casual use. Setting up the wireless connection was straightforward, allowing me to print from various devices around the house without needing direct cables. The compact design is also a plus, fitting neatly into smaller spaces without being obtrusive. For the price point, the functionality it offers is commendable. However, the major Achilles' heel of this printer, and the sole reason for its middling rating, is the incredibly small amount of ink it comes with. The starter cartridges provided are almost comically tiny. It feels like you're barely getting started before the ink warning lights come on, forcing you to purchase replacements almost immediately. This initial cost saving on the printer itself quickly diminishes when you factor in the frequent and necessary purchase of new ink cartridges. It's a common tactic among printer manufacturers, but it's particularly noticeable and frustrating with this model. This issue means that while the printer is cheap to buy, it can become surprisingly expensive to run if you print with any regularity. It feels like a bait-and-switch, where the low upfront cost is offset by the need for frequent and costly ink replacements. The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is a perfectly functional and affordable all-in-one wireless printer for light, occasional use. It works well and handles basic tasks with ease. However, the stingy starter ink cartridges are a significant drawback that impacts its overall value and user satisfaction. If you plan on doing more than very sporadic printing, be prepared to invest heavily in replacement ink.
