Sponge Cloth - Pack of 12

My sister-in-law gave me a wettex cloth, and I was happy to find them on Amazon! I have granite counter tops and a black gas range, and the wettex cloths leave no spots or streaks behind. My regular dish cloths leave water spots all over the place, so I used to have to dry the counters with a towel after wiping.Wettex cloths last a really long time, and are safe to use with bleach. I have even used them to wipe my counters with bleach water (when I was fighting sugar ants), and the cloths didn't break down at all. They are great to use, can be sanitized in the microwave or bleach water, and last forever. (I still have the cloth I was given over two years ago, and was happy to retire it for new ones.)One piece of advice: go ahead and order two packs because it won't change the shipping cost. They'll make great little giveaways for your friends.

My husband and I are fans of sponge cloths and were searching for replacements of a product we'd used in the past, but no longer available. Some of the alternatives were real losers. Then, we stumbled on these sponge cloths. They're definitely better than anything else on the market in the East S.F. Bay shops/supermarkets/hardware stores, etc. where we live. The only reason for 4 stars vs 5, for these durable cloths is they seem to retain coffee or other dark-staining substances. Nevertheless, we have no plan to look further and hope the cloths will be available in the future. We purchased 2 packs of 12 and expect the cloths to last for some time.

First I had ordered Skoy cloths which I love and then found the Wettex cloths. I thought they might be larger which is why I bought them. They aren't larger, but I discovered that the material is more fragile. They wipe down and clean up beautifully, but within days the Wettex began developing holes. When I wrung it out, small tears appeared on the edges. I threw it away. I will use up what I have, however I will only purchase the Skoy cloths which seem to be impervious to these problems. FYI, I soak them in diluted bleach water almost every day. Perhaps that's what weakened the Wettex cloths. The Skoys seem to be impervious to any degradation from the bleach.

This is an addendum to my previous comments...have used this product for a few months. Very good product, but I've found that one cloth lasts about as long as a regular cellulose sponge (about 2 months of daily, constant use). The sponges were my usual kitchen tools. This experience differs from one reviewer who commented that one cloth lasted a "very long time". But, I like this product because its surface is much larger than a sponge, and it does tolerate ammonia and bleach a bit better than a sponge.

I was familiar with this product since my days in Europe many years ago and have been pleasantly surprised to find them here too. I think they were British made when i used to buy them in Europe. Anyway, they absorb water very well, do not crumble with use and can be washed and reused many times. I wash them in the kitchen sink with dishwasher detergent and they come out nice and clean and fresh smelling.I highly recommend them and a packet of twelve lasts a long time. Enjoy.

I have ordered the Skoy cloths before, they work great. They are expensive, and you only get 4. Here you get 12 and they work the same. No pretty pictures and you get some odd combinations but I am very happy. When hubby wants one for his stuff I give him these, so he doesn't mess up my Skoy cloths! Everyone is happy. I have washed them in the washer and they are fine. They get stained easily so I don't "show them off".

To JCSCherr, thanks for the tip on the shipping. Based on your review i bought my first pack several months ago and I was extremely impressed with the product. They are thicker than the other brand SKOY and last much longer. I liked them so much i bought 3 more packs and sold them out. I sure hope they will be carrying more in the future for everyone else (since i won't need any in a while, lol). Thanks again for letting us know.

These sponge cloths are just brilliant. I first found them while visiting Sweden a couple years ago and loved them and brought back a few. I can't live without them. They don't get stinky like a sponge. You rinse them out and then hang from the faucet or over the sink divider and they dry up. Then at the end of the week toss them in the wash, I dry mine in the dryer but you can just hang em too. Highly recommend these!!
