Great product!
Chesty is ready to go out of the box. Build quality exceeds expectations. Works great for me (snowsports) but the fit may be tight for those with more than a 42 inch(+/-) chest. Easy to put on and take off... stuffs in a small backpack or large pocket. In use, the chesty holds the camera at the angle set and keeps it there. Product exceeded my expectations and price was very competitive. It's a winner.

Defective barrier
The item had a small plastic edge which had been messed up in production, and it got in the way of attaching the slide-in to the mount. I had to get pliers out to bend it off, but afterwards it worked. I'd give a 3.5 if I could.

If you’re ready to record your adventure, definitely get it!
This works great when paired up with a GoPro, it can handle the rough ride on a dirt bike, easy to clean and easy to put on.!

Well worth it.
In a nutshell, this item worked just fine. Fit was fantastic and the price is well less than half the name-brand.Details:Before purchasing I read the complaints that it was flimsy and breakable. I wear my GoPro hiking, so generally it's not at a huge risk of being destroyed if a mount breaks. I figured this item was worth trying out. When I unpacked it, it didn't seem flimsy to me although I admit I didn't put it through any torture tests.I've been using the GoPro magnetic swivel clip, clipped onto my backpack strap up until now. The trouble with that is that it moves around quite a bit, usually changing the angle of the camera to the ground. No matter how often I check and correct it, I get home to find most of my pictures at an angle (not zero) to optimum. I hoped the chest mount would keep the camera level to the ground without so much checking and adjusting. As you might expect, it did wonderfully at that. The size of the harness is barely suitable for me. If I had my druthers, they'd offer an "extra large," but they don't. I'm 6'1" and 235#. I wore it with the harness straps fully extended - the biggest they can be. It was not uncomfortable, but I'm staying away from Christmas cookies for the next 11 months. I wore it under my jacket but over my shirt. I'm pretty sure it would not go outside my jacket. Definitely not comfortably. When wearing it, it again felt sturdy enough. I think I'd use it even skydiving, bungee jumping or motorcycling. Checking camera functions was much easier with the chest mount than the swivel clip. I could easily flip the camera forward and check battery life, etc., then flip it back into place and move on. With the swivel clip, I had to take it off to check camera status, then put it back on and re-orient it.In all, I think this mount is just fine. For less than half the price of the brand-name mount, it's pretty easy to recommend.

Not too sturdy but does the job
Well, I had my camera on my chest, but still a bit wobbly wehn I hike in national parks. It doesn't feel uncomfortable but a bit too tight for my armpit, which makes me sweat.

Best Bike or Hiking GoPro Mount
The GoPro Hero 8 video smoothing works well mounted to your chest. The view is pretty good, and the camera can be angled back to see less of your knees and front tire. It's easy to put on and take off, slipping your arm through one loop, your head through the other, and then bringing the lose clip around and snapping it in place under your other arm. It's even easier to take off.A couple of cons:* The screen is hidden by the mount, up against your chest, so it's easy to hit the record button and think it's recording, when it actually stops. I haven't had any problem when using the GoPro remote. But it's an issue when using just the top (red) button on the Hero to start recording - it can beep and then immediately stop recording. Maybe the type of beep/tone sequence indicates this condition? It would be useful to have an opening in the back of the mount so you could pull the mount down and look at the screen to verify it's really recording.* A slight annoyance is that it needs to be removed before taking off your jacket, if you put it on over it in the morning and then get too warm. The mount is thick plastic and the bands are strong elastic. Plenty tight, and the length is adjustable. The whole thing is pretty light and can be thrown in the backpack and pulled out when you might want to record. There are no loose pieces to get lost. And the quick-release clips are easy to operate (I leave one always attached, and just slip an arm through, as I explained above.A helmet-mounted GoPro might give a clearer view, and allow easier aiming side to side, but mounting it to your chest removes that extra weight from your head and neck. It also looks less conspicuous.
