Sunlite Bicycle Gel Seat Cover, Western, 15.5" x 12"

Finding a seat cover for the Exerpeutic 400XL oversized seat is impossible at the bicycle shops. However, this product is as close as you can come without having one custom designed. This B-A-R-E-L-Y covers the entire seat, but it does if you put it on from front to back. There is zero give on the sizing so it needs to be installed by someone that has a little bit of strength. That said, it does fit over the seat in all the right places and gives marginal, but enough, gel comfort to relieve some of the flatness of the Exerpeutic's fairly rigid saddle. The picture of a black blob on the ad is fairly misleading you would think, but it is actually quite accurate. No frills gel cover that fits over a bike seat for added comfort. As good as can be expected. Hope this helps.

The seat of my desk bike was very hard and rigid so I was looking for product like this for a very long time. This exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable if you work from home and sit for long periods of time, it’s stretchy enough to fit over wide seats, and is adjustable so it grips the seat and doesn’t slide off.

Searched for reasonably priced gel cover for my electric trike and this fit the bill perfectly. It’s not easy finding items that fit my trike so I was thrilled when I found this seat cover. It’s comfortable and stays put. No sliding around. It was easy to place over the hard seat on my trike. Just slip on and tighten. The bumps are not quite as hard any more.

The seat cushion didn’t say specifically that it would fit it, but it was the right dimensions. Technically, the cushion does fit the top of the seat, but the way it cinches underneath is useless. It does not stay on firmly and as you ride, it slips forward. It’s just a drawstring and what it really needs are nylon straps, maybe that ratchet, to keep it in place. What little I have used it, it is reasonably cushy. Unless you are excited about modifying it, I can’t think of an application where this wouldn’t be useless to most people. Not great for how much I spent.

This seat cover could be a winner, if the manufacturers had only done a few simple things.As it is, it does not fit well on the 12x16" wide seat.The gel part fits nicely down into the seat. however, you have to secure it on the seat somehow. they sewed some skirting material onto the gel pad, that is not wide enough to go down under the seat and then be cinched up to keep it on. I had to tie a shoestring onto the end of the drawstring that runs thru the edge of the skirting material, so I had enough to pull on to cinch it tight on the edge of the seat. The drawstring barely goes under the edge of the seat and is constantly riding up, and needs to be pulled down and tightened after every ride.However, I don't see anything else out there, that is even remotely like this. If you are older, you need some padding for the wide seat, if you are going to be comfortable riding for any length of time.

Actually would give it 4.5 stars and I am experiencing a 50% improvement in comfort vs. just the Nordic track seat that came with my bike. I can now get through a 45-minute workout with less pain. Oversized seat has a tie in the back to ensure it stays on, which is nice because other products I reviewed had complaints about their seat covers sliding off. That could be a matter of selecting the right size, but I have used this one about 10x now, and no issues. Would give it 5 stars, but I am still experiencing some discomfort, which is not related to the seat cover but more likely to my 6-2" build.

Easy install. Great replacement for the old worn out seat.
