I'm just getting into makeup, so I got these brushes to help with eyeshadow application. I have hooded eyes and have discovered that I really like to add color to my crease to make my eyes pop. Ironically, the "crease brush" (the fatter one) is too large to really get into my deep crease (again, hooded eyes), but the base brush does *amazing* getting color into my crease--just the right size/shape/texture. I then like to use the fatter crease brush to add darker shadow to my outside V area, basically by stamping it into the shadow and then stamping it right onto the area. I use a fluffy brush from Wet n Wild (which works okay--might replace it if I find something better) to blend everything out, and I'm good to go. The base shadow brush is a bit softer (bristle are longer and more forgiving) than the crease brush, which is why I like to use it in my crease. It's soft enough to feel pleasant for application, but firm enough that I have control. The fatter crease brush is stiffer and kind of hurts my eyelids if I move it around too much, but like I said, it works great for stamping/tapping the color on. Got these for a great price on Amazon, and I'd definitely recommend if you're new to eyeshadow and don't quite know where to begin (like me!).

I got a couple of these sets when they were SUPER DUPER marked down to just a few dollars each. I have a friend that is always raving about them, so why not? Overall I found them to be really soft and easy to use for blending and applying eye makeup. My only issue with them is that they're a bit big for me. Maybe I just have smaller eyes, or mine are more hooded than other folks? I still use them a lot though and find them to be really good bargain brushes.

I love this set so much, considering buying a second set.

I've purchased quite a few Real Techniques cosmetic brushes over the last several years, but always from Ulta and never from Amazon until now. These brushes are definitely authentic Real Techniques brushes, and have the same great quality as I've grown to expect from this brand. They are very soft, but also dense at the same time. This makes them perfect for applying concealer and setting powder in the undereye area, which is what I use them for on a daily basis. They are also very durable, having held up beautifully to many washes without any shedding and remaining as soft as they were from day one. I will definitely be buying all of my Real Techniques brushes from Amazon from here on out, especially now that I know they are the real thing and that I can get them here for a fraction of the cost that they are anywhere else!

I really enjoy using this brand. I have been purchasing them for at least 5 years now from various outlets. Once I saw them on sale on Amazon I thought brilliant, now I know where it's easy to get them. They are so popular that I find other outlets I have purchased them from sell out really quickly. They fit into my makeup bag, they are not too thick and glide over the eyelid or cheek. They have been a best buy for the last few years.

Good and soft eye shadow brushes. I don't use the bigger crease brush and the eyebrow spoolie, but I suppose they are as nice as the others.
