Purchased this knife sharpening kit as every one of the knives in my kitchen had dulled & in desperate need of sharpening. Most basic knife sharpeners I have used only sharpen the knife roughly & actually causes damage to the blade. This knife sharpening kit is based on what professional sharpeners use. I have delegated the knife sharpening duty to my youngest adult son that lives in the household. After he researched & watched numerous professional knife sharpening videos he sat the kit up & took one very dull/damage knife & went to work on it. After what seemed to take up his whole afternoon on placement of the knife for the correct size & angle of the blade he was successful in sharpening the damaged blade. He had removed the nicks/burs, corrected the angle of the blade & restored its sharpness. He has patiently taken every knife in my kitchen & sharpened/restored the blades. Now I have sharp knives that can cut more than soft butter. My son has found that this knife sharpening kit is excellent in its ability to sharpen knife blades at the right angles & removes nicks/imperfections of the knife blade. He has ordered other attachments for the kit that will allow him to sharpen larger knife blades, serated blades & scissors. He highly recommends the knife sharpening kit for professional results.

This is a great way to sharpen my knives and Broadheads

There isnt too much to say here, I would recommend you get the full kit instead of just the barebones option like I did only to now be waiting on the other stones and case. It makes sharpening quite easy and once you learn what you’re doing you can absolutely get razor edges with this sharpener. The only gripe I have is about the adjustability on the actual knife holder vise itself, as on some more odd blade shapes you cant get as good of a hold on them, other than that its very good for the price.

finally after 15 different knive sharpener this is the one love it I just bought the one peace after I seen how it work that's when I order this kit and it makes a world of difference i never could sharpen a knife because i never could keep the same angle well with the work sharpener you will never have to worry about that anymore it will always have the same angle you need why to go team you nailed it on this one.

I got the cheapest stand sharpener and this upgrade kit to go with it. The upgrade kit was 20 bucks more than the sharpener device itself, but the 800 grit comes in handy. You also end up with two ceramic ends, which is a plus. A heavy blade will require one hand on the stand to keep it upright, and one hand to sharpen the blade. Imo, not a big deal at all, as you only need one hand anyway to apply the sharpener to the blade. It isn't fancy, but what it is, is effective. I think light hands work best with this sharpener. You aren't slamming dominoes on a table. You are removing a light layer of metal. Take a little time and be delicate. This sharpener has my Victorinox set I purchased 4ish years ago able to cut hair off of my arm. And I have light hair. I've tried about 5 diff sharpeners over the years, but this saved me from having to buy a whole new knife set, and was able to get the knife set even sharper than they were brand new. I think I actually dulled the knives with other sharpeners. Read the directions and spend ~30 mins watching some youtube videos, use a light hand, and you will not be sorry. This thing rocks.

It will take practice, but once you get it you will not be disappointed. My wife doesn't want me to sharpen the kitchen knives with this system because she felt my pocket knives and is scared of how sharp they are. Best system aside from the upgraded metal version. I highly recommend it

I had the base kit for a while and achieved good results. The additional abrasives have helped me to achieve an even better, more polished edge. The addition of the storage box (which should have been included as part of the base kit) makes it a worthwhile upgrade.
