I have a portable CARPLAY radio which requires a suction mount. This unit is quite heavy. The mount that came with the radio does not work. It falls down after a few minutes. I have try 2 other mounts I purchased from Amazon and they failed to do the job also. I ran into the RAM mount and saw the price. Initially I wanted something less expensive but finally took the plunge. I have been using it for over a month and it hasn't fail once. It stayed on the windshield with no problem. Well worth the price.

Love this mount! Super reliable, and easy to use. We use it for my daughter iPad on road trips and it never fails. Easy to figure out, fits an iPad mini just perfect! Withstands the vibrations in the car just fine!

I love how easy this ram iPad mount is to use, it’s sturdy and doesn’t move during flight. The suction cup is powerful and hasn’t dropped even during temperature fluctuations. Once the position is set, you only have to stick it to the window and remove when done. Getting my iPad off of my leg, off of the yoke, has allowed me to be more focused on flying and less on worrying about if I’ve accidentally hit the iPad screen and moved my position.

I happened to have a spare iPad (regular size, not Pro or Mini) from my Verizon store ($10 as part of the bundle plan) when I originally upgraded to the iPhone X. I decided that since it wasn't being used very much for the usual stuff like music, YouTube, etc... I would use it as a dedicated GPS device since it had cellular service. I had to get a suction cup disc since the suction cup itself wouldn't work on a textured surface like my dashboard. Overall, it feels very sturdy and assembles very quickly. I had to bend the rubber-tipped prongs out a bit to get my iPad to fit (after removing the rubber tips). Then once I got everything adjusted to fit my iPad perfectly, I used the included fast-set/super glue to secured the harder, grey-colored tips to the prongs. The black tips are much softer. Works like a charm!

This product is awesome. I’ve been looking for something to mount my iPad on flights so it’s up high and not on my legs. I didn’t want one that mounts to the yoke because I want it to remain stationary. I can spend more time with my eyes outside the cockpit instead of looking down and quickly reference my tablet while doing my instrument cross checks. The one I got has no axial rotation and the tablet stays put. If you have rotation on the base like others have had, I would return it and exchange it for another one. The arm is the perfect length, I can mount it in front of my ADS-B receiver and I don’t have to worry about it getting in the way of the yoke. I may have to play around with it a little bit to find the perfect spot to mount it so it’s not interfering with any instruments, but I’m happy with it and highly recommend it to anyone.
