Have to drill hole thru back not the bottom! Picture isn't clear as to how it installs.
I wanted to have the pipe go thru the bottom for a cleaner look. This assembly goes out the back off the Chimenia which looks a bit awkward. Be precise with the hole you drill in the cast iron, if it is a little to large the weight of the hose assembly will pull the gas ring right out of the vermiculite and mess up the logs! I had to put a fire brick in the bottom and hook a couple wires to the ring so it wouldn't pop up! All in all it is a nice effect...location is key! Ours sits right on the corner of the deck so the gas line is visible. Yours may not be a problem. I may change the connection for a cleaner look if I hook up to house gas line, Going to see how long a 20# tank lasts! ; )

Propane conversion for Blue Rooster Chiminea
Quick delivery , came in perfect condition, easy to install , works fantastic the ceramic logs look realistic , a little pricey but we'll worth the cost. One more note the instructions says to use a 9/16 still bit I went a little smaller because the 9/16 would have been a little to large I used a graduated drill bit that went up to a 9/16 and stopped drilling about a 16 th of an inch before th 9/16 Mark and then tried the pipe perfect fit .
