I decided at age 42 I must learn to crochet. After many failed attempts over the years it was something I was determined to not let beat me.Obviously, I knew I needed pretty hooks and accessories to enable a good job to be done so after much browsing and speculating over whether half hook and handle or full hook in handle was the key I decided go for this set because the handles seem softer and easier to hold for my silly hands. I was right they were!The case is clearly handy for keeping everything together so that your dog can't nick off with your hooks if you have a bad habit like me of being somewhat teenage like in your approach and just have a scattering of everything anywhere you've been. Clearly said case is only useful if you use it and at the moment my dog is just waiting for an opportunity to pinch the case instead.So many little accessories which are useful, I love the little wool cutter you can pop on your finger (not sure if that's what you are meant to do though), the handy thread snips with cover to avoid stabbing yourself when getting anything from your case are fab, the needles are plentiful and metal, not so sure on the place markers as at present they just get in my way but on bigger projects I'm certain they will serve me well... A tape measure (you can never have enough of these), the line counter is simple and I've not needed to use it but I'm sure there are easier to use ones out there.And with all that said.... 10 days of self isolating with the husband who brought home covid... I managed to learn the basics in crochet and I think that boils down to the pretty colours of the comfortable handles!!!

I baught this to help me start crocheting. I am a complete beginner and this had everything I needed to get started minus the yarn. I found the hooks easy to hold and very comfortable I have also tried the metal ones which I found really uncomfortable. The different sizes are perfect for any project. I have been able to make several scarves and hats and my first baby blanket.

i am new to crocheting and spent a while looking for a crochet set that would be suitable.this set comes in a lovely bag with several accessories as well as a range of different sized hooks, giving the beginner everything they would need for their project. they are comfortable to hold and well made. the bag makes it a lot easier to keep everything together .well worth the money and i would definately recommend these.

Sieht man sich an, was Häkelnadeln namhafter Hersteller so kosten, ist dieses umfangreiche Set aus 11 Häkelnadeln samt Zubehör und Tasche wirklich äußerst günstig.Hier komme ich dann auch direkt zum Knackpunkt dieses Sets: Für diesen niedrigen Preis muss man einfach Abstriche machen und kann keine hochwertigen Handarbeitswerkzeuge erwarten.Dementsprechend weisen mehrere der mir zugesandten Häkelnadeln im Bereich der Haken Grate auf. Hier kann es dann natürlich passieren, dass Wollfäden an der Nadel hängenbleiben und das Häkeln nicht so leicht von der Hand geht. Möglicherweise könnte man die Nadeln aber mit Schleifpapier etwas nachbearbeiten. Ich habe das nicht ausprobiert. Leider gab es in meinem Set eine Größe doppelt, dafür fehlte eine andere Häkelnadelgröße. Immerhin liegen die Nadeln griffig in der Hand und die Griffe fühlen sich gut an. Positiv ist auch die Anzahl der Nadeln und die Variationsbreite der beiliegenden Nadelgrößen. Das dabeiliegende Zubehör wirkt auf mich zwar grundsätzlich verwendbar, aber tendenziell eher minderwertig. Gleiches gilt für das optisch ansprechende Etui. Bei meinem war bereits beim Auspacken der Druckknopf verbeult.Insgesamt genügt dieses Häkelset meinen Bedürfnissen nicht, daher ging es zurück.Fazit: Gutes Set zum Ausprobieren, ob Häkeln wirklich gefällt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist meiner Ansicht nach völlig in Ordnung.

I love this crochet set. I’ve done some crochet before but having had a break from it really struggled to remember my skill - having chunky hooks and yarn to work with really helped as it was easier to see what I was doing. Also - can we just take a moment to praise stitch holders? They made all the difference (I had been tying a piece or thin ribbon onto my end stitches and these are soooo much easier!).I would recommend these for beginners looking for something easy to hold and easy to work with.
