Reliable basic transit
I've used David White instruments for a long time as an archaeologist and have been generally satisfied. These are not top end instruments, but they are far above the bottom. I like the three-screw leveling system and the optical plumb, which I suspect we all have a love-hate relationship with, regardless of the brand. I really like the ability to lock the instrument vertically and use it as a level. My main gripe is that you cannot invert the telescope.

Not great
I mean it worked but QC wasn’t good. There was bits of plastic inside the lens also, there was a bolt that screwed into the lens that had plastic that would stick out into the view of the lens.
