Just wow!
I recently purchased the Brushless RC Car in 1/12 scale, and I have to say, it has completely exceeded my expectations! As an avid RC enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for high-quality, performance-driven models, and this one definitely delivers. First and foremost, the brushless motor in this car is an absolute game-changer. The power and speed it delivers are simply phenomenal. Whether I'm tearing up the backyard or racing on the track, this car handles like a dream. The 4WD system ensures excellent traction and control, allowing me to tackle even the toughest terrains with ease. The build quality of this RC car is outstanding. It's evident that a lot of thought and attention to detail went into its design and construction. The chassis is sturdy and durable, able to withstand the rigors of off-road racing without missing a beat. Plus, the waterproof electronics provide added peace of mind, allowing me to push the car to its limits without worrying about damage from moisture or mud. One thing I really appreciate about this RC car is its versatility. Whether I'm in the mood for high-speed racing or just cruising around, this car can do it all. The adjustable suspension allows me to fine-tune the handling to suit my preferences, while the proportional throttle and steering give me precise control over the car's movements. Another standout feature of this RC car is its battery life. The included LiPo battery provides plenty of runtime on a single charge, allowing for extended play sessions without interruption. Plus, the quick-charging technology means I can get back on the track in no time. Overall, I can't recommend the Brushless RC Car in 1/12 scale highly enough. It's a true powerhouse of performance, durability, and fun. Whether you're a seasoned RC veteran or a newcomer to the hobby, this car is sure to impress. Don't hesitate – add it to your collection today!

Long Battery Life: The battery holds up well during extended use, allowing for longer play sessions. Cons: Charger: The charger could be faster, especially if you’re eager to get back out there after a session. Overall Experience: This RC truck is a solid investment for hobbyists and beginners alike. It delivers on speed, durability, and fun. Whether you’re looking for off-road adventures or high-speed thrills, this truck can handle it all. Highly recommended!

Awesome Budget Rig!
This thing is great! I own multiple higher quality and bigger name brand RC vehicles and this one honestly competes! PROS: -The center diff makes for a very controllable drive. -I have bashed it hard for 2 batteries at a skate park and I didn't break a single part. The body is a bit cracked and bent, but it's all still perfectly functioning. -In my opinion, it is quite fast on the provided 2S batteries, and is a bit too crazy on 3S. Plenty of battery life on the 2 provided batteries, however one of the batteries lost a cell at some point and is no longer useable. But that is likely due to damages at the skate park. -Very simple and easy to drive, good for beginners. -It is about 1/14 or 1/12 scale just as described, making it on the larger spectrum of "small scale." Small enough to store in tighter spaces, but big enough to have good fun. -I believe this may be the best deal in cheaper branded RC cars as it's more affordable than it's competitors but handles significantly better and takes an absolute beating without damages. CONS: -Small battery tray. Makes finding aftermarket batteries difficult. -I noticed there may be a very slight delay in the radio or steering servo. I can't tell if it's a radio delay or if the servo is just really slow (even on the fastest steering setting). Either way, it does lack a little bit of steering control because of it. OVERALL: It's a great vehicle. Even if you are more experienced, this could be a fun addition to any RC enthusiasts collection. But I do believe this would be an ideal first RC for someone around 12-16 years old. Any older and I would recommend one of the large scale, big name brands.

UPGRADE THE BATTERY TO A 5200!
Bought two of these about 3 months ago for me and my 5-year-old son. I used to love RC cars as a kid, and these are a lot of fun. They make walks way more interesting. Not as fast as brushless models, but still solid speed, about a 6.5 out of 10. They handle PNW conditions well, including rain, puddles, rocks, and grass. Big downside is battery life. Stock batteries claim 40 minutes but realistically only last about 12 to 15 minutes, even at lower speeds. Fix is simple. I upgraded to 5200mAh batteries. They don’t fit in the stock compartment, so I removed the spare tire, cut a small hole near the dash, and strapped the battery on top with Velcro. Now getting around 45 minutes with solid performance. Also, I don’t know why RC cars still use body pins. Biggest pain to deal with. We switched to Velcro straps so you can just unstrap it, pop the body off, swap the battery, and get back to driving way faster.

Good Value Rc..Not the best Customer Service
Let me start off by saying this RC Car is really cool for the price. I have been in the hobby for 20 years, and I've had many hobby grade rc cars, such as Traxxas, Axial, HPI and many other leading brand rc cars. I am pretty experienced and really enjoy my cars, as I'm sure many of you do as well. Most of the cars I own are upgraded and super fast, so I wanted to get my kids an entry level rc car to start their own personal growth into the hobby. I didn't want to "break the bank" on a $300+ Traxxas etc, so I did some Amazon "research" into possible rc cars I could get for my 5 kids ( ages 2-14) and I came across Haiboxing (the cool kids call them HBX 😎) and I also looked at DEERC and Hosim and probably a few other. All of them where extremely similar, but varied by battery end connectivity and Mah size, wich breaks down into run time, for those who don't know. Anyway, Haiboxing was the brand I decided to go with, because the value for the price seemed like the better choice at the time. I really liked the look of the rc car and the extras that came with it. It was really cool that it had an ESC/Motor, Servo, 2 Batteries, 2 extra tires and the LIGHTS. I love lights. Lol. They aren't super expensive, but if they come for free that's a big plus. It has the front lights, "roof" mounted lights and even the rear red "brake" lights. I thought the kids would enjoy that. So with all of the things included, and the fact that you could upgrade the car later, I figured I might as well go for it. I'm a little bitter about the purchase though. When it arrived, we opened it up, excited to play, and I noticed the steering horn was broken right out of the box..the kids where so upset, and I was shocked. I wondered how this could get past "quality control " and I did what any dad would do..I tried to my best to figure out how to fix it. It had no extra steering parts or anything that would help fix it, so I contacted the customer service through Amazon. The car comes with a card that says to email them through Amazon or their email. I emailed them(they are located in China) and it took over 24hrs for them to get back to me. They said they would order me parts and that's all they offered. No partial refund or anything. I wrote them back and forth a couple times and each time it took over 24hrs(very frustrating 😒) The rc car arrived Monday 1/16/23 and the parts won't arrive until Monday 1/23/23 to Tuesday 1/24/23. That's a week+ . Honestly I get it, things take time, but super disappointing and as a father it sucked for me to see the kids so disappointed. I reached out to them an asked if they could provide me with a decent discount on another car if I ordered more from them. I figured I'd give them a chance to provide me with a decent customer service experience. I was hoping maybe 20% off another car..they offered me $10 off another car. I did appreciate that they tried, but to be honest I was also disappointed in their offer and hoped they would have done better. I just wanted to feel helped and valued and I also figured with Amazon Prime 2 day shipping I could get another car here for the kids to play with until the parts arrived to fix it. Let's be honest..could I have returned it? Yes, I could have, but I dislike sending things back like that, because some people that order the same item actually receive the used item you sent back. Most don't, but some do. It took me multiple days to figure it out, but that's what happened to me. The steering servo horn was broken by a previous customer who returned the item. I thought the tires look ever so slightly worn down(just a pinch) almost like the "new car smell" was faded. Lol. You know what sold it for me? What sold it for me was the darn sticker sheet that comes with the car. (Picture attached) it was missing nearly ALL the stickers.lol. I didn't realize it until I already talked to the company and figured why even tell them. They won't do anything for me anyway. They seemed upset that I even asked for a discount to buy another car from them. So...to remedy the servo horn situation I borrowed my Slash 4x4 steering servo horn and used it on the Haiboxing car to make it work for the kids. (My poor Slash) Lol. Anyway, if you got this far, I appreciate you taking the time and going on this ranting journey with me. Let me tell you this... this car is definitely worth the money for a beginner or a 20+ year rc veteran. It has 2 1600mah batteries that are dean, so you get decent play time, and it handles WAY better than I imagined it would. It was my first inexpensive rc car, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. It also has a speed control dial that allows you to dial down the speed for the beginner or younger kid to use. If you're "on the fence" about it, I'd push you over the fence and say go for it and try it out. Even though I dislike the customer service I received, I would still recommend the car and will definitely be buying another one for my kids. I just won't rely on the customer service much. I hope this review helped you in your purchasing decision and I hope you have a blast with whatever rc car you decide to purchase.

Awesome RC, great base for modding!
This HBX is the perfect size for where I live and what I like to do. Gets around awesome on most terrains, and is very customizable. I must say that, in stock form, it feels slow if you’re used to brushless rigs. But it’s perfect for starting out or for younger crowds. It’s also perfect for upgrading to your own brushless system, as the driveline already has all the upgrades necessary to handle brushless power. The front, center and rear differentials, in particular, are very stout, work great, and can really take a beating. Also, the seller is fantastic, and Haiboxing really stands behind their products and goes above and beyond to help and make things right! I will say the only drawback to this platform is the center drive shaft - it doesn’t use pins, but is hex shaped and is mated to drive pinions via a hex slot. Eventually the hex shaft wears down and rounds out, and you get slippage. It takes a long time though. A pinned center shaft would solve this - something HBX should look into. If you are creative you can also solve this on your own, or just buy a new one now and then. This is a relatively minor gripe. One other slight drawback is the lack of aftermarket parts support from third parties. Would be nice if some parts suppliers jumped in with HBX. The HBX 2996a is the same platform (not currently available on Amazon) and is currently my favorite RC (and I have many that retail for 500 or more). Buy this without hesitation, it’s awesome!

Insanely good value
There's a few things I would recommend doing with this if you're a tinkerer. First and foremost would be to relocate the ESC and cut out the separator in the battery side of the chassis. There's 3D printable models for it, but I just used an adhesive foam pad to stick it on top of the steering servo. The tray is just too small to run anything over a 2000mAh 3S. I added a foam pad and used that to hold down the velcro strap. I can now fit substantially larger batteries and it's way, way more flexible in terms of battery options and upgrades down the road. Another is to buy different body clips. I lost all of them on the first pack as well as one of the foam dampeners. I tried pushing them further on and they just kept slipping through the body. You can buy them as well as some adhesive stiffening rings for the body. I didn't have any on hand but will be purchasing some to strengthen it as it's impossible to really shred it when they fall out. I also removed all of the lighting as that's not really my thing and the cable is annoying to unplug. If that's your thing, the cable is coiled and makes it fairly easy to manage, but it's not for me. Last thing would be the tires. They're too hard and they balloon like crazy so it lacks traction pretty much everywhere and most notably on pavement. In gravel it shoots rocks dangerously hard, so be wary of that and if you're going to run it in gravel and keep your car parked far away and WEAR EYEPRO. It's no joke. I wouldn't call this thing anemic on a 2S, but it is notably slower. With that it still absolutely rips on a 2S. With a 3S it really comes alive and is very fast - the 45MPH rating is absolutely accurate. If you don't ease into the throttle on some surfaces it will light the tires up and lose control easily. If you're new, start with a 2S and work your way into it. This thing is not a toy and can seriously hurt someone if you're not careful with it. I ran 4 packs through this thing and beat the hell out of it. Jumped curbs, ran it straight into massive obstacles, flipped it off of trees, landed it in awkward positions from heights and it never broke anything. It is very stout. Parts are available everywhere and spares are included. HBX offers a warranty on parts so if you break something within that period, you're golden. I haven't had the chance to take it to the hobby shop to see what parts I can fit on it, but out of the box the ESC, receiver, servo and motor can be upgraded or replaced. Overall, I absolutely love it and am beyond stoked to get back into the hobby. This thing was a radical wake up call to how much things have changed. I come from FPV mini quads so I am aware of the raw power of lipos, but seeing it in a truggy that the last time I ripped was using brushed motors an NiMH batteries is absolutely nuts how snappy and powerful these are. Speaking of lipos, watch some safety videos. If you mishandle these they can be super dangerous. They are safe if you know how to handle them. Don’t be afraid, but do be aware. It is an outstanding value for what it is. A RTR run truggy that's 3S capable and includes two batteries with charges for this price is unbeatable. I would have paid much more. It's a real contender in the space and HBX is changing the game of cheap cars and trucks. I am beyond impressed. I would give this 4 stars due to the battery situation, but it's so good that I can give the other star back. BUY ONE.

Do Not Get This Unless You Are a Causal or Don't Mind Projects
On paper, this truck is everything that you could want in a 1/12 scale monster truck. It's got a nice wide stance. It's got a cool body with lights. It's decently big tires. It's even got great looking decals. It does have two big problems. One problem is that this is advertised as 3S truck, but they won't fit. The other is that at it's nice size, it still does NOT have a gyro. Those problems can be remedied, but you're going to have to grind down the battery wall, move the ESC, and install a gyro. With companies like MJX doing this on their 1/16 and 1/14 cars, there is no excuse for this, at this point. ***UPDATE 4/28/25*** If you can absolutely spare another $30-50, then buy the RLAARLO Omni-Terminator. It is a mini 1/10 scale (which makes it a 1/12 deluxe) It has a much better construction. It is sturdier, and has a gyro. If you can spare another $80-100, then get the carbon fiber version of the Omni-Terminator. It has an upgraded ESC, more powerful motor, and a completely black body.
