Don’t let the title put you off… worth a read
SEALionaire… that’s a new one. And I have to admit it has put me off reading this series for a while… but I took the plunge and I’m so glad that I did. They say don’t judge a book by it’s cover… well the cover is hot but equally, don’t judge a book by its title. This is actually far better than I thought it was going to be.Adam ‘Reaper’ Dedman makes a different kind of alpha male. He’s not rich (well not to start with), he’s serving his country as a Navy SEAL, and his life is about to take the most phenomenal dip. Events in his like take a downward turn and he finds himself in a very dark place. He’s lost everything… possibly including his sanity. It’s not until he meets Olivia ‘O’ Darling that he starts to believe that maybe things happen for a reason. The instant attraction between the powerful, strong and captivating woman and the disgraced elite soldier is mesmerising. I love that she isn’t some delicate, flower who needs protecting… ‘O’ is a tough, determined and intelligent young woman who has lived through enough to really appreciate second chances.Saved from the streets by multi billionaire James Campion she’s now on a mission to reconcile her adopted guardian, James with his biological son… one Adam Dedman. But with Reapers understanding of how his mother became a single parent, he’s not going to take the news well.Stubbornly, O refuses to give up on bringing Reaper and James together… but partly because the attraction she feels towards him is too strong to let him walk away. Convincing him to give his father a chance isn’t going to be easy - but she knows that once Reaper hears the truth, he’ll maybe discover that he is more like his father than he thought. However, Adam’s appearance causes a rift in Campions business and that rift turns out to be deadly. With James’ ill health rapidly deteriorating preparing Adam and Olivia to take over the multi-billion dollar company is becoming more important but Adam’s sudden inheritance brings out the vultures and they are circling. But just how far will greed drive people to get what they want?Battle lines are drawn and lives are threatened as Adam, Olivia and James become the target of a very hostile takeover. Will they come out on top or will the evil of greed overthrow them.Really great story. Loved the characters, the story and the development of the relationships. Read the books in a matter of hours as I felt compelled to keep reading. I needed to know what happened to these guys. And I became invested in their plight and their future. There’s a few things that annoyed me though. This author seriously needs to get a better editor or beta readers because there are a lot of little niggling mistakes. For example… the wrong names being used a couple of times, sentences that didn’t make sense or had words omitted. All of these mistakes should have been picked up during proof reading. However… probably the glaring one that narked me the most was when Olivia is talking with ‘Queen Elise’. Olivia mentions about some anecdote her ‘grandmother’ used to tell her. Ok… not usually an issue but Olivia was found abandoned in a dumpster as a baby. She never knew her parents identities… so how would she know her grandmother? It’s a frustrating mistake that does make me wonder how rushed this project was. I can usually overlook these kinds of things but this added with the very abrupt ending is one of the reasons that I only gave this a four instead of a five. Sometimes I worry with these authors that churn out so many titles, in a very short space of time that they don’t always take the time to look at the tiny details.Generally though, I’ve enjoyed this book and as I say the characters and story are good enough to warrant the four stars… it just needed a little polish… and an epilogue. Parker… we need more epilogues.

Must read!
Once again this pair of writers has produced a gripping, not to put down series of books. I do not know who does what in this pair, but I really hope they can keep it together. This is a Seal story with a difference, but you will have to read it to find out why. The characters are well sculpted and cash well together and against each other. The plot is ruthlessly followed with some intriguingly clever twists. Please set aside a day and read all three books - you will love it.
