great! These books take everything step by step. The only problem we had with this was the word problems. My student had a really hard time figuring out the wording on some of the problems but I think it was more her than the book. We got another book that was nothing but word problems and did lots of extra work on this.

Math in Focus is a great choice if you plan to do manipulatives or plan to teach your child in a one-on-one tutor style. We used this for homeschool this year and I thought it was great at first, but then realized that it has a lot of graphics that were very distracting and not a lot of explanation. The many examples were wonderful, but there is very little explanation of the concept itself.

This is a good book that I started to use to supplement learning 7th-grade math for my child. Because we just started with it, I cannot evaluate content, but on a surface, it looks interesting and might be much better than the book my child is using in school.

The young man that I tutor in math wanted to get a head start on next year over the summer. This is the book that his school uses and is excited to get started.

A good alternative for those doing vitural school with edmentum that do not want to have to print worksheets everyday.
