A fun and discreet little thrower.
First of all, I paid for this with my own money at full advertised price and haven’t been coerced in anyway to create this review. I do enjoy writing though. I'm thoroughly enjoying playing with this awesome little flashlight. I say 'playing' as I haven't had a real world use for it yet. But that doesn't matter. Enjoyment comes in many forms and I really enjoy this. It produces an extremely tight and focused beam. On the lower settings there is little useable spill, but that can be a positive feature in situations when you wouldn't want to swathe an area in a wall of light. On higher modes, there is decent spill at close range, but for me this defeats the purpose and at short range the hotspot can be very overpowering. The fit and finish has been machined to a very high standard and it's obvious this is a high quality flashlight. There are no flaws in the anodising and the button functions with a positive click without any mushiness or slop. The recessed lanyard hole is a nice touch and enables ceiling bounce room lighting without any wobbling. Flashlights that throw work particularly well in this mode, as you don't get dazzled if you glance at the head of it, as often happens with floodier lights.I researched this thoroughly before buying and was impressed by the completely flat runtimes on every mode, including turbo. I like knowing that the brightness I see at switch on is the brightness I'll get until the battery depletes.Turbo does have a stepdown after a short period of time to prevent damage from overheating, but high mode is more than bright enough for me to see as far as my eyes practically allow me.The beam is very tight and would be ideal for spotting things at a distance without drawing unwanted attention and I read that the hotspot spreads approximately six inches every ten feet of distance. This would mean eighteen or so inches of light at thirty feet. I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate, but credit to whoever originally worked this out. There is also a hidden Easter egg mode which is most welcome. If you first loosen the battery tube, then hold down the power button whilst screwing the battery tube tight again, the flashlight will enter the moonlight brightness setting mode. In this mode clicking will cycle through the available low brightness levels. The range goes from almost imperceptible, to a little dimmer than the low brightness setting. Once a level is chosen, long press until the light enters low mode. The chosen brightness will now be available when moonlight mode is entered. Being able to see a fraction of a lumen across the room is very impressive. The USB C charging is really handy and far sturdier than USB micro, of which I've had ports fail on various devices in the past.I'm not a newcomer to flashlights. I've owned lights from most major brands and saw the development and improvements in flashlight led technology from its beginnings over two decades ago, when 5mm leds and sub ten lumens were the norm.My first 'proper' flashlight was the Arc AA (if anyone remembers that) and in fact I still have it. It still works too.The Thrunite Catapult Mini stands up there with all the exceptional flashlights I've owned and even though highly specialised, I recommend it even for no other reason than it’s fun to use.If anyone from Thrunite with any clout reads this, please release worldwide an 18650 battery tube for this at a reasonable price (and make it available for sale on Amazon). It wouldn't add a great deal to its size, but would greatly increase the already impressive runtime and fill the hand a little better. Thanks for reading.

Ideal for hunting out to 400yards+ very pleased
This torch is amazing, it's focus throws the light way out, can pretty much see anything you wish to look at at night. Anything brighter I feel would scare wildlife. I was out lamping and have some big 12v lamps which I am considering on retiring as so far this little lamp has been better. Just need to work out how to get more out the battery. Not sure I can get a full night out of 1 torch, although I could have a few for the price of my old set up.Game changer.I also took this to work and proved great a pointing out valves out on plant, almost lazer like within 10yards.Anyone who likes to go ratting of take the airrifle out at night I highly recommend this guy. Just need an adapter to fit it to the scope

Handy little torch with a flaw
A nice little torch and handy that it’s rechargeable but it does have a major flaw that it’s easy to switch on the light by accident in a bag or pocket. Many times I’ve reached into my rucksack to find its discharged. The on/switch needs a a redesigned or locking cover.

All I can say is WOW how can something so small be so bright
Was a bit sceptical about the specs on the torch but I’m well and truly surprised with it. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this to anyone well and truly worth the money

Great torch.
When I saw it I thought what a small torch but when used it was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I am referring to what a briiliant beam it goes the distance advertised and maybe more. Excellent.

Narrow beam
The narrow beam is the reason I bought this torch because it is best for confined areas and narrow gaps.It also has other levels of brightness plus strobe, SOS and beacon, should I ever need them.
