These are perfect and even better at the price. Just make sure you drill your holes to 1/2” for the grommet so the airlocks fit into the grommets.

The airlocks work great. The big thng to be careful about is using on thin metal caps and the size of the hole for the grommet. I didn't have a drill so I punched a hole in the cap and then used a rat tail file to enlarge the hole. On one the hole was a little too small and when I pushed the airlock into the grommet (after inserting into hole) it resulted in the cap cutting completely through the grommet. On another the hole was a little too big so the seal wasn't that great. But I had plenty of caps. Note: If your wondering about the orange liquid in the airlock, well, that happens when there's too much liquid in the jar and once gas is produced during the fermentation process liquid can get forced into the airlock. The airlock still does its job, just with a little extra (colored) liquid. 😁

Good little kit. It even came with extra set of rubber gaskets for ceiling for each for putting them into the top of containers which was very considerate. And appreciated of the manufacture, those things are really hard to come by, especially when you've used these things. 4 or 5 times and been throwing things around. Recently used these to making fermenters out of 5 gallon and 2 gallon food grade buckets. The grommets fit almost perfectly to the lid thickness of a regular bucket. The airlocks sealed very well into the grommets too. Very simple to use and clean. They seem well made and should last me a long time.

The quality of the airlock seems fine but as others have said, the grommets are too small. It’s a struggle to get them onto the very tip the airlocks even without the grommet inserted into the lids. Kind of a pain but no choice but to find grommets that fit better.
