There's a learning curve.
I of course didn't read the manual because I know more, apparently. I had a gargantuan mess... Don't use too much mix leave it turn off until you get the lid closed and then pour more. You also need to make sure your mix is pretty runny otherwise you'll have the mess that I had and your pancake will cook faster than you can pour your mix. As I said, there is a learning curve, don't plug it in until you have the lid closed and more mix poured on top. I started unplugged mine between pancakes because one side will burn if you take too long. Once you get used to it and a bit more brave maybe even read the manual like I DIDN'T it might work better. I'm going to give this a 4 because I think it would work well once you find the groove! It isn't horrible to clean but still kind of sucks.

Waste of money
This seems like a waste of money. This basically has you cook on one side and then a second pancake on the other side and then you can put them together with something inside. Yes, a no brainer, but I thought it would be different. Waste of money.

It is a challenge, but fun to eat!
The recipe only made 3 pancakes, when it says it makes more.

Recipe for Making a Stuffed Pancake that will Wow Guests
Got kids? You'll definitely want to try this out. Hang in there for a second, I'll share a fantastic recipe I use to make the ultimate stuffed pancake. But first, this reminds me of the "Banana Loca" kitchen gadget we ordered when it was first released. In that it's something you didn't know existed, but once you have it, you definitely love using it. WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT IT: 1. Easy to use. If you can manage a regular electric waffle iron, it's not difficult to use this. 2. Easy clean-up. All the benefits to making a unique breakfast treat, but without the absolute headache you get from trying to clean a waffle iron. 3. Healthy options. While we do enjoy some of the more tasty, less-healthy toppings for pancakes, you can actually come up with some awesome and more health-friendly filling combos. Like turkey bacon and pure maple syrup (without high-fructose corn syrup). Fresh mashed fruit with chia seeds. Thin-sliced bananas with grated dark chocolate. HOW TO MAKE THE ULTIMATE STUFFED PANCAKE: Ever been IHOP? Hands-down, one of their best dishes are the crepes with sweet, soft cream cheese filling. Bonus points if topped with fresh strawberries. Well here's how you can come up with something just as fantastic, in your own kitchen. You only need three ingredients: 8 ounce pack of cream cheese. 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. 3 tablespoons of sour cream. How to make it: Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature until it's softened. Using electric beaters, beat the soft cream cheese with the sour cream in a medium mixing bowl until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Next, add the powdered sugar to the mixture. Mix well. Sometimes to make the filling a bit more "fluffy" I'll add a cup of whipped cream. This mix is about as close as you can get to the kind used at IHOP for sweet crepe fillings, or as toppings for different breakfast treats they make. I typically use two tablespoons of the mix for crepes, but a bit more for the stuffed pancakes. If you really want to impress your guests, top the sweet cream mix with crushed or diced strawberries. The combination is heavenly. Overall, this is a great kitchen investment. It's mostly one of those kitchen gadgets that you'll put to use on the weekends, like a waffle maker. But it makes for a fun new way to enjoy breakfast. Plus it's great to see someone's reaction when they cut into the pancake, and discover anything from Nutella, to sweet cream with berries. Best of all, you're only limited by your imagination. So you and your family cane experiment, and come up with your own original recipes. We're really glad we ordered one of these. See for yourself how cool it is, order one today, you'll get it in just a few short days.
