Just as I remembered! Dippity-do remains a high quality product! I have fine curly hair and thought to use rollers to smooth it out without the heat of an iron. To hold the style and body without the need of hair spray, I reached out for an old favorite. I am so glad that I was able to find it. I highly recommend this product as it controls frizz, gives the hair great volume, holds the curl and style, and gives the hair a softness that I haven’t had in years. My daughters were amazed, and the magnificent shine and body last for days… I have need to wash it only once a week. Goodby hot irons and hello Dippity-do!!!

I don't have curly hair (didn't read the label close enough), but this still works great! I have very thin and fine hair and I just use a bit on my finger tips and work it thru my hair - love it! Doesn't make it crunchy, gives it good body/volume and helps hair styles last longer for me!

Have heard about how it used to be an OG product and is curly girl method approved- honestly really mixed feelings after trying it. I think it works really well for soft curls and really scrunching/styling, esp if you air dry. But if you use it to slick back or gel down baby hairs, it doesn’t really stay slicked down. It sets QUICK, so it flakes soooo badly even when I brush it out within 3 minutes of application, it looks like I have a uniquely bad case of dandruff. But only on the parts that I tried slicking down. The rest of my hair looks voluminous with big ringlets. I’d say it’s a good product overall, but you have yo use it methodically,

When I was a teen I used this product. We didn't have blow dryers then. It was a hooded dryer only. I had long hair. This product was handy back then. I never really expected it to be the same product. I am in my 70s now. My hair is long. I wanted to try it, hoping this would help me in humid weather. Works great. My hair stays the way I want it to, not getting frizzy. Last all day. Excellent value for the money.

You don't really know what will work for you until you try it. Each of our hair types is different and depending on what you're looking for in a product and how healthy or unhealthy your hair is this product will work differently for each person. That said this product makes some bold claims. It claims it works on frizz control, which, living in Chicago where the humidity during the summer is crazy I need that control. This DOES NOT control frizz, at all. No matter how much product I use by mid day I'm looking rough. One star taken off for that. I've now purchased 2 (and I'll get to why in a sec) the first one arrived well the second one however came in rough shape. Thankfully it didn't spill all over the place but the jar was cracked in half. Thanks to the label it held together. So, purchase at own risk. One star taken off for that. This also leaves your hair feeling crunchy initially. I didn't take any stars off for that cause like i said by mid day my hair ain't feeling crunchy. Now on to the positives, it smells really good and most importantly for me anyway, it gives great curl definition. I've had some really great hair days, during the winter, mind you, with this stuff. So, while I don't recommend if you live anywhere remotely humid I would give this a shot for the great curl definition and I would purchase again during the fall and winter.

classic! I think my mother used this gel! it was invented the year I was born (1965); a great year for all things. :-) this leaves my hair bouncy & shiny with more control and volume. you can do pin curls or rollers with it as well; I just put a bit in my damp hair after a shower and blow dry it until it's 60 to 70% dry. smells neutral, nice hold, not sticky at all, simple to use and a good value.

I’m a hair diva of 70 years old. I have abundant salt and pepper wavy hair that is hard to hold a full style. I use pretty expensive stuff. It works… but only for awhile. This is what my mom used. And now for 6 bucks a tub … I’m using. I use a small amount. Rub in comb through. My hair is full, bouncy and amazing for days!!!! I get compliments. Listen, if you want nice hold and volume…that lasts DAYS!!! . Here is your miracle !!!

Ich verwende das Produkt für meine welligen Haare. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Produkten riecht dieses sehr wenig und eher blumig, was ich angenehm finde. Ich kriege damit einen schönen Gelcast hin und die Stärke ist für meine Haare genau richtig. Trocknet auch nicht aus, oder sorgt dafür, dass das Haar ölig aussieht. Werde ich wieder bestellen. :)
