WOW!
I just finished "Clusterf**k" by Carlton Mellick III, and holy cow, this book was INSANE! Bizarro at its finest!!It's a B-movie horror film in book form, with lots of comedy thrown in. It's about a bunch of frat boys and some girls they've targeted going spelunking, and things DO NOT go as planned. That's all I can say without spoilers, although if you've read the book "Apes**t," you'll know what to expect. Things get out of hand fast.Although it's not necessary to read "Apes**t," I think it is better to do so if you get the chance before you read this one. I believe "Clusterf**k" is the better book. It is funnier, in my opinion, and the characters are more interesting. This book is pure B-Movie fun. Action. Horror. Comedy. Gore. Smut. It has it all! It grossed me out, which is rare. It also scared me, which is even rarer for a book to do. If you are claustrophobic, you may want to steer clear of this book; it will get to you in a big way! The same applies if you are afraid of caves or dark places. This book will freak you out big time!Overall, reading this was pure joy! It's not for the squeamish or the easily offended, and gods help you if you are actually a frat boy. Seriously though, this book was excellent! 5/5 Stars. Another masterpiece by CM3.

it didn't but i did enjoy the story of a terrible b-film in story mode
i thought this book would blow my mind. it didn't but i did enjoy the story of a terrible b-film in story mode. Carlton could have detailed it more and had more gore and sex in it. there is more in some of Dean Koontz's novels, however, if you take elements from the horror genre and combined them into one book...this is it. i well read Apes**t now.

I really love the way Carlton Mellick writes! Its disturbing, but man can he write characters! He always writes a story and not just gore. Outstanding!

Check This Book Out Bro
I was reading Mellick's latest work 'Hungry Bug' and thought 'gosh darn, and golly gee, I forgot to leave a review for ClusterF'. I loved the heck out of ClusterF. The bro characters cracked me up and Mellick had some cool curve balls of the 'chick' characters that joined the bros for Extreme Cave Diving'.I feel this book can be dug by horror fans, bizarro lovers, and also people who love good satire. This was some of the best satire of bro-culture I have ever read or even seen on TV. From the little I have read of 'Hungry Bug' it's really amazing and probably even better than this book, and this book was pretty darn great.Mellick has really earned my trust; I am a big Kindle reader, but he is one of the few authors whose paperback I will buy. I encourage my 'literary' friends to give Mellick a try; he always has solid prose, intriguing themes, and excellent stories.

Wtf
Had trouble connecting to the characters and bizarre circumstances. However the story was still wild and enjoyable. Definitely will read more by CM3

"The Eternal Bro"
This was a some what follow up to Apeshit the very first and one of my favorite all time CM3 books. This time around we have a bunch of frat bros trying to get lucky in a cave diving scenario however they do not realize that this is the same place where a crazy things have happened before and rumors abound as to if some people can never die in the area. This matters not to the bros as they explore the area and soon find themselves trapped in a no win situation. Leave it to CM3 to create a entertaining and crazy fun filled ride with some gross out on the way. Again highly recommended and can't wait to read some more new Carlton Mellick III.

A fitting end to the Apesh!t legacy
Mr. Mellick's imagination amazes me. He claims not to be a horror writer, yet he writes some of the bloodiest and most vividly violent scenes I have ever read. His Gonzo plots and impossibly silly characters may turn some off, but for me they're just plain funny.Parts of this book read like a Harold and Kumar movie. Other portions emulate The Hills Have Eyes and Descent. The funny scenes made me laugh, and the bloody scenes made me squirm. Good fun!

Caves, mutants, college girls, what more do we need?
While I don't believe this is Mellicks best book it's still deserving of five stars. I read a lot. Mainly horror and there is very few authors I have came across with an imagination so vivid in the genre. I have read several bizarro authors work and I feel with a lot of them it feels silly but with Mellick he writes in a way where you get so sucked in it almost seems plausible. This is one of my favourite types of horror. Anything with a mutant family and I’ll read it. That’s not to say they are always good. I’d put this up there with Brian Keene’s Urban Gothic and Ray Garton’s The Folks 1 & 2. I’m sure there are some other great ones I’ve forgotten but I think this book will be a memorable one. It’s not the fastest start to a book but felt the scene was set very well with some great characters.

What the hell was that?
My brain is still trying to process what it just read, thou not in a bad way. I preferred the first half of the book, I dont want to leave spoilers so I wont say why. Absolutely worth a read, would absolutely recommend if your looking for something completely off the wall but great fun.
