Ancient Greece: An Illustrated History : Rodgers, Nigel: desertcart.ae: Books Review: My daughter is going to love for Christmas. There’s a lot of information and the pictures are great. Review: Great value book! This is a hard back book with glossy paper and excellent photos and illustrations. It has loads of information and it easy to dip into, although I think it would be good to read whole sections too. Really excellent value and a brilliant reference book.

Imformative and interesting book with vivid images . I looked up the author after reading his book on the Roman Empire to see what else he wrote and knew I had to own this. So much of the West’s culture is owed to both the Greek and Roman civilizations and Rodgers does a wonderful job of writing about all aspects of their societies. He covers every topic you’d be curious to learn about. Reading his books will definitely expand your vocabulary as well!

I've only taken a cursory browse so far but it seems to be a solid overview of the thousands of years of Greek history based on that, the table of contents (pictured), and it's size. I'll update the review if the writing is exceedingly poor. Dust jacket got some minor scuffs during transportation but that's what it's there for, nice hard cover, the binding appears to be good, plenty of relevant photos, and the glossy pages are a plus.
