Quality piece of gear, worth the money.
I bought one of these to fit my hiking kit. It perfectly holds a 1qt military canteen with canteen cup, lid, and stove in the main pocket. I keep a fire starter kit and swiss army knife in one side pocket and some esbit fuel in the other. I've got can openers in the inside top flap pocket of the main compartment and a Vargo scork in the front utensil pocket. If I stick a pouch of food in a cargo pocket it gives me everything I need for a hot meal on a long day-hike. The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable, and the material is very well-made. Seams are solidly sewn, with no dropped or missing stiches. It's more expensive than a lot of canteen covers, but it does a whole lot more than just carry a canteen.

Versitile little pack that is excellent as a hip pack or even a chest rig. I recommend.
This is an odd little pack I had to buy. At first I wasn't even sure what to use it for but wanted it. Then I started to use it and found it was helpful in many ways. It's not a huge pack but it can fit a wide quart water bottle like a nalagene bottle with no issues. I found myself using as a hip belt pack on my side or front for my dog. water, a collapsable bowl....some treats, etc. When I don't feel like carrying a backpack with the dogs stuff. the other way I've used this and it's interesting but it works is as a chest rig on your backpack. when you're hiking/backpacking you often have to stop to get your water bottle if you don't have a hydration system with a tube. yes you can add a bottle holder on a hip belt but I chose to add this little pack so I have a quart of water and room for other things like a snack bar, etc. that I want at my finger tips. Exellent llittle pack. I would recommdend if you have a use for something like that.

Well made it bag update
The Helikon-Tex Kit bag I purchased is used for my Pathfinder canteen, cup, lid, and canteen stove kit. All items fit well in bag. Have not taken bag out hiking or camping yet so I do not know how well it will hold up under stress. My only concern and this is with all bags and pouches is the zippers; do they hold up to being filled with items and then when I run or jog, jump or climb, do the zippers split open or do they stay closed until you open them up your self? This is what I still need to test out on this Helikon-Tex Essential Kit bag. The kit bag top lid does not close all the way around the top of the canteen as you can see in the photos, I would like to keep dirt and debris out so an improvement in making the top lid longer on the sides would be nice. The adjustable buckle works well and secures the canteen. The side pocket carries my Pathfinder combustion kit and it fits well in the pocket with room to spare. The other side pocket I will most likely place a filtration devise and water tables. Because there is a back pocket in the inside of the kit bag I can place a spork, long spoon, with the canteen. With the exception of the lid being a little small around the sides for me, it is a very good canteen bag or general purpose bag.

Stitch work is excellent. I hope to see more from this company ...
I first saw this product on YouTube. In looking at the videos it seemed that this was a very well thought out design, it will hold a normal gi canteen or Kleen Kanteen 40 ounce with some room to spare on either side , more so when holding a Kleen Kanteen and nesting cup. My only issue with the bag is I wish the entire bag could be an inch more in all dimensions. Height, depth and width, this would allow greater flexibility in the load out of this kit bag. Additionally, the side pockets could benefit from being slightly larger in depth and have zippers that opened in more of a full clamshell design again to hold a bigger variety of essentials. The overall placement of pockets, loops, straps and molle are very well done. Stitch work is excellent. I hope to see more from this company in the future. Thanks for taking the time to listen to feedback.

Fantastic summer/winter canteen coolest pouch
This is the ultimate canteen coolest pouch. I use this with a titanium coolest and as well a stand alone over the shoulder pouch. I use it on the Helicon Tex load bearing but pack rig. Perfect and the side pockets carry an edit stove and water purification system. Well recommended

Big enough to fit the HC Ti 1.1L canteen kit
First, it is winter so I haven't had a chance to use the kit bag in the field yet. I dont generally like to rate anything as 5 stars until I've used the item and that will have to wait until spring. That being said it feels and looks very durable. I ordered the US Woodland pattern which is a green camo pattern that matches the US Army BDU colors from the 80s and 90s. There are loops on the back to allow this to be mounted on some type of belt. It also comes w/ a well constructed adjustable, but unpadded shoulder strap. The cover flap is secured w/ an adjustable strap and a heavy duty polymer buckle. I purchased this kit bag to hold an HC Titanium 1.1L canteen/mess kit and it fits perfectly w/ two caveats: 1) Use the flatter Ti cap rather than the taller black plastic cap and, 2) put the cup cover in a side pocket rather than under the cup in the pouch. The single issue is the height of the canteen with the black cap not allowing the cover to close flush. With the canteen and cup inserted there is a finger's breath of room on the side to insert something thin if needed such as a fire starter stick, pocket knife, or similar item. The two pockets are fairly roomy and can hold a small GPS unit, an esbit stove, purifying tabs, lighter, or other items but my Samsung S8+ is too tall to allow the pocket to be zipped. I'm sure the Keith Ti canteen kit will also fit as it is the same volume and has a flat Ti cap also

Awesome for chest rig, mounts easily to backpack/shoulder straps
Mounted to my saddle harness as a chest rig and could not be happier! Used 2 molle clips but could also attach quick buckles for easier on/off, but plenty of options. Solid built, no fear of rips and tears. Buying two more to keep as bino pouches to keep in my truck!

Kwaliteit edc tas. Zelf gebruik ik hem voor mijn Pathfinder kookset. Kleine vakken aan de zijkant ideaal voor vuurset, flesjes olie en peper en zout. Mijn to go to tas voor koken in de outdoors
