I am in between black and brown eyebrow pencil shades and the ebony shade is perfect. Not harsh like most black pencils and not too warm like brown pencils. I've even tried grey pencils but they tend to be on the cooler side for me. The Joah brand pencils are natural looking and last all day (I can't attest to them being waterproof because I haven't been in that situation while wearing makeup). But I am SO happy with this pencil-I even bought extras out of fear they will be discontinued (always happens when I find a product I love). Life is good when you find the right eyebrow pencil. Never trust anyone with bad brows!

Have tried many brow definer/liners and this one may be my favorite. Gave up using the pencil kind that needed to be sharpened (impossible) and tried this mechanical style. It's perfect and is also the closest match to my light brown or dark blonde hair. That is saying alot. Only downsides are that it rubs off easily and, as another reviewer noted, the stick of color is really hard and takes a few strokes to get it noticed. Not a deal-breaker for me.

This is advertised as cool, but it’s not. I like the product, it goes on smooth and is pigmented. It’s just not as advertised.
