Made in Gifu. Needs sharpening
It makes for a very striking desktop accessory. These are made in Gifu- the capital of sword and knife making. Blade is a little dull- but that's okay for a letter opener. I sharpened mine.

Decorative Envelope Opener / Very, very dull blade!!!
Would give this item a 5 out 5of except the blade is so so dull.....impossible to open letter with it.Fit& finish good (Plastic) I thought for the price it would be wood. Makes good desk ornament untilI figure out how to sharpen. That's the scoop, Arizona Don🌵

very attractive looking gift
just as pictured and looks very attractive. the stand is a bit flimsy but the recipient doesn't actually use the stand

Looks great but…
Appearance wise it looks great.It isn’t sharp enough to cut through envelopes. I spend more time trying to sharpen this tiny blade to even be able to slice through envelopes.
