Betta Foods Bee Pollen Granules shipped quickly. The pollen has a vibrant color, which to me indicates freshness. Granule colors range between deep golden yellow to a lighter yellow with a few brownish granules, too. The flavor profile is deep- more like flower pollen than grasses and not bitter. I do not put bee pollen in any food that is heated in order to preserve the beneficial components. I find bee pollen is best all by itself but it's also a great addition to smoothies. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and will order again.
