Works amazingly well.
I hate fruit flies and every year I get inundated. Last year I battled them, but couldn't get them under control. I use the old vinegar with a drop of soap trick. That always worked. This time not so much. The population began to grow and spread outside the kitchen. I have cats and don't like using sprays, nor do I like the smells. But it was time to change tactics and because of it being safe for pets I decided to try. I worked. It was quick, and though has a smell, it's not too bad and doesn't hang around long. Neither did the fruit flies. I bought another bottle for this years incursion and needed very little when i got a few buzzing around. Didn't need much, it was controlled quickly.

Bye-Bye, Bugs! 🌿
So, I gave this Plant-Based Bug Spray a shot because, honestly, bugs are the worst, but I hate using sprays that smell like a chemical lab exploded. This one stood out because it's made with plant-based ingredients, which felt like a win for my home and the environment. 🦟 The Good Stuff: It Works! I used it indoors and outdoors, and it actually kept flies, mosquitoes, and gnats away. It didn’t just knock them out—it kept them from coming back for a while. Smells Pretty Nice: No overpowering chemical stench here. The botanical scent is fresh and natural, kind of like walking through a garden. Pet-Friendly Ingredients: With two dogs running around, I feel better knowing I’m not spraying harsh chemicals near them. Versatile: Works great for random indoor fly invasions and keeping bugs off the porch during hangouts. 🤷♀️ What Could Be Better: Short-Term Fix: While it’s great at getting rid of bugs on the spot, it’s not a long-term deterrent. You’ll probably need to reapply if you’re outside for a while. Spray Design: The bottle is functional, but the spray could have a finer mist for better coverage. 🚪 How It Stacks Up: Compared to standard bug sprays, Stem is a great alternative if you’re looking for something plant-based and effective without the toxic vibes. It doesn’t have the crazy strength of DEET-heavy sprays, but for everyday use, it’s solid. If you’re like me and want to keep the bugs at bay without dousing your space in chemicals, this is definitely worth a try. Just keep it handy for re-sprays during longer outdoor hangs. 🌿✨

It works!
This product does work pretty well. I've had drain flies come every summer and stay until winter. They drive me crazy! I didn't want to spray a strong, caustic, poison in my bedroom (they were everywhere!) where there's no windows or ventilation whatsoever. So I thought I'd try this and I am not sorry. It says to not spray it in the air and to wait for the insect to land, then spray the insect. I just sprayed my whole room anyway and it worked great there was only 1 tiny one flying around for the next few days, it was great! I've only had to spray it twice (the 2nd time was directly at one I saw). I'm not crazy about the smell, but it's a lot better than the strong chemical smell that would come with Raid or one of those products. It's that lemongrass smell. I only have 2 small issues with this product. #1 the trigger/sprayer. I actually like it because it's easy to use, but it's too easy is the problem. You're meant to push the trigger with your thumb, not pull the trigger with your index finger. Well, my genius self, didn't actually look to make sure it was pointed in the right direction and tried squeezing the trigger (like a can of Febreze). I sprayed myself directly in the forehead and top of my head. Thankfully I had the can tipped and didn't get my eyes, just my freshly washed, still damp, hair. So make sure you know what way the nozzle is loi ting before you spray. Push the button with your thumb, NOT your index finger. #2- all the oil everywhere! I sprayed the air in my kitchen and then almost bust my ass! The floor was so slick! I had to mop the entire floor with hot water and dawn dish soap. The directions DO say toward for the insect to land, spray it for at least a second, then use soap & water to clean the area. This is turning into a lot of work, just to kill a few drain flies. I do feel better knowing that im using a non toxic, safe for humans & pets, product. Overall, I'm happy with the results.

Stuns Doesn't Kill and Spray Goes Everywhere
I put a bowl of cat food outside and waited for about 30 flies to decend. I sprayed the heck out of them at close range. Only five were still in the bowl when the spray hit them; another 10 or so got hit and fell outside the bowl. I sprayed them multiple times while down. All flies outside the bowl revived and flew away within 60 seconds. I sprayed the five in the bowl again. Aparently very dead, I threw the entire pile in the trash can. All five flies were alive and well again, flying out of the can within an hour. Meanwhile, the smell of spray in my back yard was overwhelming. I used a high pressure hose to clean off the area sprayed and all around it. I could still smeall and taste the spray- outside, in wind- for several hours. The spray radius is very wide, so even if it did actually kill the flies, to use it requires a willingness to have spray everywhere. And it didn't kill a single bug. Also, it was impossible to tell if I needed to remove something to first use the spray mechanism. This is confusing enough that there are lots of hits, including a YouTube video on the internet. Not impressed. Fly paper works, people. Bug zappers work. This does not.

Works.
This was a great purchase. It kills the gnats and fruit flies on contact. It doesn’t have a harsh smell. The only issue is that it’s oily, so if you spray in the air and it falls to the floor- it’s slippery. Other than that— I love this stuff.
