Quite possibly one of the best values for an everyday carry knife. You will be impressed!
I'm an avid knife collector and this SPEW(small personal everyday wharncliffe) is an absolutely amazing knife. Feels great in your hand. Easy to carry as well. Super sharp right out of the package. Pointy too! I gifted this to my son and he loves it. Anyone who sees it or checks it out are impressed indeed. Columbia River Knife and Tool knocked this one out of the park! I wish I would have bought another for myself. This knife is definitely a keeper! if you haven't tried CRKT knives, i recommend this as a great starting point.

Great neck knife
It is a very comfortable. I have multiple neck knives from CRKT and will continue to get more that I find that I like. This knife feels well made and fit snug in the sheath. It is easy to pull but has not yet in the time that I own it felt that it would fall out on it's own. I am a fan of the orange color as well. It is bright and will stand out if dropped. I like the shape of the blade. If you are looking at it, then you should get it. It has been worth the money. It is not just a part of my collection but something I use and depend on. Blade shape makes it easy to keep sharp.

Sharp Point
I purchased this to wear around my neck but never do. I do use it to clean squirrels The point on the knife is extremely sharp and punctures the skin with ease. The sharp blade also cuts the skin easily to make cleaning small game quick and easy. The size of the knife makes it easy to stick the knife in a pack, pocket, glove box or any other small area you may want to keep a small knife. However, the handle is shaped well and has enough girth and surface area to maintain control of the knife while using it. With relation to size it is basically a pocket knife sized fixed blade. For you survivalists the spine of this knife does not have very square edges and will barely spark a ferro rod. A must for any type of survival knife. The sheath appears to be quality kyndex and the knife snaps into the sheath and stays. Probably important if you do wear this around your neck. The neck lanyard was a little long for me so I weaved it in and out of the sheath to make it a little shorter and that worked well. Now for the quality discussion. This is a $20 CRKT knife not a Spyderco or Benchmade but it is worth every one of the 2,000 pennies you will spend on it. However, knowing it is a $20 knife you just need to make sure you take care of the blade and do not abuse it if you want the knife to last a long time. However, the knife comes very sharp and maintains it edge well after using it to cut small animal skin and bones.

Really Really nice but too pricey, for what it is.
I already did own a CRKT MINIMALIST WHARNCLIFFE, which costs much less than this S.P.E.W. and is almost as good ... maybe better. So ... The Minimalist has better handle ergonomics, with DEEP choils, in the grip ... THIS SPEW sibling has a "prettier" grip and a LONGER BLADE, which does come in way more handy when it comes to sectionning an apple or a pear or performing other food-related chores. I do imagine that the SPEW might be a more effective defensive weapon, due strictly to it's increased length, over the Minimalist. I would have to (reluctantly) recommend the SPEW over the Minimalist, due (ONLY) to the extra blade length which ... yeah ... COULD save your life and will allow a broader range of useful tasks. The price and the grip of the Minimalist ARE superior, tho. I'll just say it ... It should be obvious that it would NOT take much to break the tip off of the SPEW ... BUT ... cutlerylover said that he did a bit of torture testing, on this tip, and that he was surprised that the tip did NOT break ... see his video review, on YT. I should also mention that, as with the Minimalist, the sheath and the included accessories (lanyard, neck-cord, belt-loop) are useful and are excellent (first rate!). I am going to dock this fine blade ONE STAR, for a total rating of FOUR STARS, STRICTLY BECAUSE OF THE UNDULY HIGH PRICE-TAG ... This knife WOULD be a fair value at $29, delivered. It would be a steal at anything under $25 delivered. The Minimalist is a GREAT VALUE but the SPEW IS OVER-PRICED, by $10, (IMO). I did buy it anyway, but I am not as happy, with the pricing, as I was with the Mnimalist. Despite the stiff pricing, the SPEW really does provide a very high degree of utility, in a small and lightweight system that can be worn as a neck-knife, a boot-knife, or on a belt or strap, using the included sheath and accessories. Easily, one of the top-ten neck-knives.

Quite a good little knife for it's intended purpose. It is a neck knife so if you think it's small then maybe ask yourself what you'd like to carry around on your neck all day. I personally have it on the belt as you hardly notice it's there. Made in china just so you're aware. But holds a lovely edge and feels exceptional in the hand.

I own alot of knives my last small belt knife got screwed up so I decided to go with a different company. I got to say this has bin the best small belt knife I bought yet. The knife and sheath are built really well and the blade is razor sharp. Anyone looking to get a small belt knife this would be it. The only thing I would say I don't care for is the paracord rope hanging off the end of the handle but that's just a minor thing.
