Bipod adapter for Picatinny Rail mounting of the swivel style.
Cheap as hell and works great (so far). Easy to install, and my bipod mounted sturdily against it. No drama, no movement or shaking. Even came with the appropriate size hex key to install it. for < $7 this is a steal. Don't let the trolls fool you, this item is solid. Does what it has to and does it well. ESPECIALLY for the price. If you have a bipod, and it only has the swivel mount, DEFINITELY buy this when it's on sale. Don't even hesitate. Just get it. It'll fit and you'll be happy. Do it!

As a Swivel Stud for a Sling, Not Bad at All
There are a good number of negative reviews focused upon this device in relation to a bipod. I can't speak to that. What I can speak to is that as a swivel stud for sling purposes, it does the job quite well. It is a nice addition to a Ruger 10/22 model 11113, which is the factory direct version with the ATI Ruger 10/22 Strikeforce 6pos Adj Stock PKG DG already on it. The stock itself has only two swivel studs near the rear. Thus, if you want the system to have a two point sling, like the ATI Nylon Sling, you need this type of swivel stud adapter on one of the forward side rails. Thus, as I said before, in the role of a swivel stud for a sling it does its job well. See the attached photo.

Solid mount, but needs DIY modification
As many people have mentioned the sling stud is too long for the Harris mount to get a proper grip on it, the bipod will simply fall off if you apply any sort of horizontal pressure to it or the firearm. However, I went to my local hardware store with the mount and picked up 2 very small washers (they were some kind of composite - fiberglass or plastic or something hard like this not metal or rubber) they fit perfectly into the hole on the mount and allowed the sling stud to pass through them - they fit so perfectly they looked like they were designed for this purpose. Once these were installed the mount was rock solid. Depends on what kind of shooter you are but if you're considering this item you're likely a casual shooter / weekend warrior and this small modification will save you a lot of money.. if you have the cash or your stake your life on your firearm, go with the LaRue QD mount.

Works great
This bipod adapter fits great on my AK47 with picatinny rail. My Harris bipod fit onto it snuggly, as well as the Harris knockoff bipod and the Versapod. The only downside I have to this bipod is that it takes up quite a bit of room on the handguard, but that is what makes it so stabe for the Harris type bipods. With a SlideFire stock and bump firing, the forearm holding hand tends to bump forward into the adapter uncomfortably after a few rounds of auto fire. A vertical foregrip should help alleviate this.Otherwise, its a great adapter and locks the bipod on tight.

No Frills Adapter That Just Works
All this item has to do is allow the attachment of a Harris type bipod to a 20mm RIS/Picatinny rail. And in that this adapter works well. The only disappointment I had upon receiving it was that mine came with a small allen cap head screw and not the larger thumbwheel screw head as shown in the ad picture. But since the bipod to which it is attached is used only on one particular rifle, it's a moot point. The adapter is now in effect a permanent part of the rail on that rifle so the attachment screw only needed to be permanently tightened down once. For the money you can't go wrong with this item. If the finish wears as others have indicated, I'll simply moly coat it when I'm doing some other parts and it will then last practically forever.

Trash Unless You Want to Mod This Adapter
In short be prepared to go to the hardware store and jury rig this to work. I had to add 2cm~ roughly of washers to get the length right on this adapter so that my Harris bi-pod was securely attached to this rail adapter. Without this reduction in length the grip teeth on the Harris Bi-pod could not clamp tightly enough to reliably hold the bi-pod onto the adapter. The Harris bi-pod for which this adapter is supposedly designed has a hole in its center mounting plate where two grip arms reach through and grab the adapter nipple. The Harris bi-pod has a screw which pushes against the underside of the mounting plate and pulls the grip arms together and down securing the device to the adapter. This process requires one of two things, one a shorter nipple on this adapter or, two a longer screw on the Harris bi-pod. The Harris screw is 3in~long but the nipple on this adapter floats and uses the rail attachment screw as a backstop so there is allot of movement even within this adapter.

Caution Counterfeit Product is being sold
I purchased my first Promag Sling Swivel from Amazon a few months ago, it was shipped directly by Amazon and it is a great product. Just received another "Promag" Sling Swivel from a third party seller on Amazon and it is a cheaply made, counterfeit copy. No wonder I see other bad reviews for what I have found to be a product that meets all of my expectations. Unfortunately, third party sellers are allowed to list items on Amazon without any proof that they are shipping the original product. This is becoming a real issue for everyone that buys on Amazon. In some cases, the counterfeits product looks like the genuine product, in this case it was evident that it is a copy. However, this is a true safety concern. If I was to use this piece of junk on my firearm, under the assumption that it was real, take my firearm into the field and have the rail housing fail. All that I can say is I hope that Amazon has a good liability insurance policy. This product and many more counterfeit products being pedaled on Amazon are a dangerous and can cause injury and/or death. We are taking about parts that attach to a firearm, that are making our firearms dangerous. There is already too much bad press about gun safety and now we have the largest internet retailer in the world, allowing third party retailers to ship dangerous product. This needs to stop.

solid
I use this to grip two weaver utg tactical shotgun rail mounts together to extend them for my homemade night sight. This works a treat and keeps it all solid. Not much else to say works for me
