Very easy to setup, easy to test, range of detectors good enough for detached house including loft. As to whether is effectively detects smoke or gas I hope never to find out.

My previous smoke alarms were old and becoming unreliable. From the reviews I read and what I have seen so far, these X-Sense alarms appear to be an excellent replacement. They were easy to interlink and very easy to install following the clear instructions provided. The Remote Control I purchased separately was a worthwhile addition, making regular alarm testing easy.

Although a little expensive the smoke detectors are neat and easy to fit with just two screws into the ceiling or wall for the base plate they come with the batteries ready to use and interconnecting them is as easy as holding down some buttons for a few seconds why these might not be as good as the mains powered version from other companies they are an easy solution if you forgot to fit these and already decorated your house they don't seem to be overly sensitive and they are as loud as they need to be. I have decided to fit them in the hallway landing and the rear of our kitchen I thought that one in the kitchen might be a bit sensitive to smoke and fumes but we haven't had any photo alarms since fitting. One improvement that would be great is if one of the devices had a light that came on when alarming this would be a great help for the landing area if it ever was to be used in earnest. Plants to keep using these until I can find a sets of smoke detectors that will connect to my ring smart home alarm.

The smoke alarm was easy to install (I used magnetic holding plates) and the instructions were clear and well written. The lightweight, compact device fits well on the ceiling of our motorhome. The alarm works well on testing and the battery life seems very good (but I've only just fitted it). Very good value for money all round.

Excellent addition to an existing thre unit inter connected system

Very easy to install and link together. We rely on a Villager log burner and Rayburn for heating , hot water and cooking, living on a mountain with 4x4 access only, early detection and warning of fire or carbon monoxide is crucial. We are off grid so battery system is more of a practical solution, and being interlinked is important to give early warning to everybody in the house or barn conversion of potential danger. We will purchase the Heat alarms to back up the Carbon monoxide alarms in the areas where the log burner and Rayburn, probably over kill but for peace of mind.
