6” internal diameter - only available on amazon
If you measured the hole as 6 inch and got the control valve cover from big box store that say 6”…. which turned out to be small… then this is the right cover for you. The internal diameter is 6 inches and external is about 7 inch. Great fit!!!

Fits my sprinkler values boxes. I needed a true 6".

Fits just like the OEM lid.
Works like a charm. The lids they sell at the big box stores are 5.5 inch ID and 6 inch OD. My early to mid 90s era boxes are 6 inch ID and about 6.5 inch OD. These are well made and a great replacement for he DFW plastics boxes and the lids that are no longer made by that firm.

It was not the right size
This was made very well but it did not fit the sprinkler box we needed it for. I had to return it. The cover was made very well and would be a perfect cover for someones system.
