Pro ASP.NET MVC 5 Platform 1st ed. Edition

I have only read part of this book, but I already love it.Why do I love it? One major feature: Attention to the reader. At the beginning of each chapter is a summary of its contents in the format of "Problem"/"Solution", and there are many tables with "What is it?" and "Why should I care?"/Trivial as it seems, this is totally focusing!

It's a good book for beginners, but for more advanced users is useless!The book reached the main goal described by author, teach how the mvc platform works.Anyway, it was a good acquisition for build my own library.

The author is a brilliant teacher. My professor, wasn't. I still managed to learn MVC and C# so that's a plus

This book covers multiple indispensable facets of the ASP.NET platform that are frequently omitted from MVC books. The author's style is clean and understandable with many helpful code examples.

This was a highly disappointing book. Undersized, not nearly enough information and really not at all up to the caliber I would expect from this author and publisher

I've been working with ASP.Net (web forms) for almost ten years, and just recently started working with ASP.Net MVC. I was hoping to get more in-depth knowledge of MVC from this book. Unfortunately that was not the case.This book will give a new developer a good understanding of the ASP.Net foundation (life cycle events, modules, handlers, caching, state, etc.), but nothing that is new to an experienced ASP.Net developer (web forms or MVC).

Excellent book. Helped me thru a few projects.

The author likes to create elaborate sample applications, and the point he is trying to make is getting diluted and obscured by fluff. The book would benefit if the number of pages was cut by half.
