Waldorf Recommendation
My grand daughter uses these in her classroom and we bought extra for her to use at home when she feels like creating.

Our favorites for littles!
I’ve been using these pencils for years. They are durable, last a long time, and give a nice color! I like that the wood is unlaquered. These are a wonderful addition of Waldorf education.

Good quality for the price
The media could not be loaded. Size and quality are amazing the price is definitely worth it. I bought this pencil for my son to used them at our homeschool room. The size is perfect for little hands. I was trying to find a coloring pencil to correct pincer grips and this in specific are perfect for that. I would recommend this to any parent with a special need child!!

Loved them so much, I looked for more colors...
Wonderful for kids! More expensive than standard kids' pencils, but last longer. They help with proper grip. They've worked so well for my 5-year-old and myself that I've worked to find many colors. To my surprise, purple is the only color in the Waldorf sets that is different than colors in the regular sets. The purple in the Waldorf sets is more magenta-purple, while the purple in the regular sets is darker and leans more toward blues than pinks. If I were to try for all the colors again, I'd get the 18-color set of Super Ferby ( http://smile.amazon.com/Unlacquered-Triangular-Millimeter-Assorted-3711180/dp/B004PLNE76 ), either the small or large Waldorf set ( http://smile.amazon.com/Waldorf-Selection-Unlacquered-Triangular-3711121/dp/B004CRAKES ), and the metallic set of 12 ( http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00177XHCS ). As you're deciding which set/s, consider which sets have white and black colors, and how important those colors are to you. We've had no problems sharpening these with our Faber-Castell Double-Hole Pencil Sharpener With Eraser (one has a fish design, the other has an eagle design). "Ferby"s are the shorter size while "Super Ferby"s are the longer size. I don't think there is any other difference between Ferby and Super Ferber. Their natural wood pencils are easier to grip without fingers sliding, while the painted ones are easier to color-distinguish when grabbing colors from the pencil box.
