IRCtek 12V 2.5A AC/DC Power Adapter Replacement for HTC Vive VR Base Station

Works perfectly to power the HTC Vive VR base station. The base station is poorly named; this is the unit that does the does the tracking (there are two of them with the Vive). Keep in mind that the cable is shorter than the one that comes in the box of the Vive, but for my application that didn't matter so I didn't deduct any stars.

At least with the first generation of HTC Vive VR headsets, it's not uncommon for the power cables for the IR lighthouses to go bad. This worked as a perfect replacement! Only watch-it, is that the cord is shorter than the one that came with my Vive.

Worked like a charm as a replacement for my HTC VIVE sensor. The cord is SUPER short though.

Everything was great. The cable was a little shorter then what I needed, but that’s my bad for not looking at the specs

So this brick is advertised as a direct replacement for the Vive base station. And electrically, it is. The plug fits snugly into the back of the base station, the output voltage and amperage are correct, but the cord.....The cord is MUCH shorter than the original vive plug. Not to mention that the brick is a standard wall wart type brick, and not an offset slim line brick. So this takes up a lot of real estate when plugging it in, and unless you're using an extension cord (which I now have to) you're not getting 2 plugged into the same spot.Again, it works, but I for one, was not happy to find out the cord wasn't as long as it should have been.

Been using it now for several months. Still works fine. Highly recommended.

I'm sure this power adapter is fine, but I got it for the Vive link box. The adapter does not fit the link box
