Great depiction of Zee
Okay, I use this collection a lot in my fanfic writing because it gives a really good base of Zee and her personality and powers, so if you are looking for a useful feel of our favorite magician this is a great book for you. Read each story a few times to really enjoy all the little details of her. I found like in all collections like this, some artists are more cartoony, not a fan of Rick Mays here, but the more realistic and traditional artists that make up the majority of the volume really do a beautiful job at capturing her grace and power, my favorites being Cliff Chiang, Jamal Igle, Jesus Saiz. The stories themselves are fun and interesting, with those neat spins that make her world so intriguing, the intersection of the ordinary and the magical. I like how she is portrayed, sometimes temperamental and wickedly accurate in handing out justice but mostly genuinely kind, hard working, and swift thinking. She is one of the most human feeling supers out there and her stories depict both the crazy cosmic stuff heroes take on as well as the very ordinary crap and dull common stuff everyone endures. One of my favorite things is how she uses her brains, her physical skills, her years of experiences, and her powers together to deal with her problems rather than rely only upon her magic access. It makes her feel like what a real magician would actually be like. Glamour and climatic balancing out with ordinary and personal. The stage and everything behind it, to give a sense of wholeness to her. I really recommend you get this volume if you want a good realistic sense of Zee as a real feeling person.

Tahw A Taerg Koob
This is my first time reading anything about Zatanna but have been interested in the mystical side of super heroes. They always seem to exist in their own universe like Justice League Dark and so I thought I'd dip my toe into this collection. The collection is pretty random. I've been buying collections of consecutive issues but this was a collection of loosely related issues. Brother Night showed up multiple times which I wasn't sure if thst meant that he was Zatanna's main rival. That would be extremely disappointing since he didn't seem that interesting. The story arcs that occur in this (some stories are just one-offs) are great but don't last too long. It felt like watching a mini-series versus a season of something. That was underwhelming since I wanted more interaction, payoff and dialogue in the story and with the characters. It's worth the read just for the brain pain I had to endure deciphering the constant spellcasting. It seems like a cheap gimmick at first but I found it to be endearing pretty quickly. Plus, there's one story that puts a really clever twist on the backwards spell casting.

A-List Treatment for an A-list Magician
What a charming run. This collection of Zatanna comics is bundled together with sturdy graphic novel quality binding and thick pages, so it'll stand nicely on a bookshelf - you'll definitely want to place it there afterwards, because this thing has a lot of good to offer.Without spoilers, this Zatanna collection features multiple story arcs with a good range of tone and themes. Zatanna's character is versatile in that she can plausibly interact with heroic DC staples like Batman and Superman, or venture into DC's grungy underbelly and work with characters like John Constantine, or other Vertigo branded identities. Mostly, the stories here are of her independently doing her own thing. After all, she is the star of these comics.Zatanna's stories are often raunchy, amusing, and very weird. She's a character of immense power and capabilities, but her humanity has her committing acts of questionable morality, even if not for nefarious reasons. Timely additions of single and double-paged full panel add dramatic emphasis and show off top-shelf artistry when appropriate. Teens and adults alike will find lots to love in these pages. Believe in magic!

Amazing experience
The book was in amazing condition. I was skeptical at first because there was a lack of photos but once it arrived I was definitely pleased. The listing was 100% accurate and the only surprise was that it came a few days earlier than anticipated. Would definitely recommend purchasing from this group!

Daer siht won!
Zatanna is, and I do not think I am exaggerating here, the most under-utilized character DC has to offer. A stage magician, and a REAL mage, Zatanna is something rare in the DC universe, a character whose work-hero balance falls more on her professional life. Zatanna has always been one of my favorite characters, so I was glad DC finally gave her a full collection.Zatanna live in LA, California, performing to a sold out crowd every night. But she's still a superhero, and in this collection she has run ins with her ex-boyfriend John Constantine, mobster mage Brother Night, her cousin Zachary Zatarra, and many more. Zatanna is such a fun character, and I was happy to see the artwork kept up with the possibilities Zatanna's power set provides. I only wish there could have been more.

Bezaubernd
Ziemlich entspannte, angenehme Geschichten über Zatanna mit solider Art. Keine überflüssigen Gastauftritte, eine sympathische Heldin, manchmal handeln manche Charaktere etwas blauäugig.

Necessary for Collection.
This is one of those unique collections that you might wanna own because there's literally no other Zatanna collection, almost like Power Girl Power Trip. Collects all the 17 issues of the Zatanna Run and the one shot Zatanna Everyday Magic. Honestly since this is the only Zatanna collection it's tough to judge it but do not expect anything deep or philosophical. It almost feels indie since Zee doesn't get much exposure but at the same time there's still more to explore than just this for Zee.

Believe in magic ? I do.
I've never read any Zatanna books, until now. The writing by Paul Dini is pretty good and, the artwork is also nicely detailed. It must have been a bit of a headache for the writer to write some of zatanna's dialogue in backwards English. I found myself attempting to translate what it was the lovely Zatanna was saying, when chanting her magic spells.Overall a pretty good collection of stories, which I would happily recommend.

Great Zatanna comic!
This comic was fun to read, especially since, i wasn't too familiar with the Zatanna character as whole. The plot was interesting and the artwork was alright to my taste. It was a ease to read and the random cameos of some characters were amazing. I was surprise to find how much I enjoy this comic book. I will for sure recommend picking a copy up!
